Yes, historically, it is not a bad deal at all. With that said, some of us have Hot Deals Syndrome and can't possibly fathom buying something at a higher price that was once lower, lol!

I bought this card last week and I called newegg today to see if they could credit me the difference. they said they had no record of the card ever being $229 after rebate. I even linked this thread to them but they said that was not proof and that the link goes to a price of $239. well duh since the $229 deal is off now and I could not call them yesterday when the deal was active cause it was xmas. they did give me a $10 gift card though.
