On top of 1024x768, the physical length:height ratio is 1.25. Wouldn't that make the 4:3 1024x768 look weird?

Well, I ended up getting this. With tax, AR, it's gonna come out at 298. I thinks that a pretty good deal. Used the 30 off 150 to get it, and got a free case of paper using another code which can be found on FW. Will let you guys know the quality when I get it (tomorrow hopefully).

Out of curiosity why are you saying the Staples specs are wrong when the Norcent specs (pdf linked in first post) say the same thing?

I am looking at that pdf, and it just says resolution. The specs are for both, except when they specify 15" or 17". At least thats what it looks like to me. Other places list the resolution as 1024x768 or 1280x1024. Just wondering what the actual resolution is.

This one is really puzzling. I read the .pdf as well. It did say 1024x768, but the pixel pitch is .264mm. The width of the display area is 13.3", which equals 13.3" x 25.4 mm/inch = 337.82 mm. Divide that into .264mm/pixel, you get 1280 pixels per horizontal line. Either the resolution is actually 1280x768 instead or the .264mm pixel pitch is wrong.

All this begs a question: Has anybody actually bought and used this monitor? Or are we all armchair quarterbacking?

I just got it in today...It's awesome!!!! To answer all the questions about the resolution, it is 1280 x 1024, I'm on it right now as I type. Greast monitor, tomorrow is the last day so you better get it then. By the way, as I stated above, you can get the 30 off 1501 from FW. There is the same thread over there, you can't miss it.
