Same here.... my wife said go for it (two of them) but I just couldn't 60G for $130 is a good deal now but I will trust my gut and wait a year or two.
Believe me, I thought about it all day long. Thought about doing the eBillme promo with ZZF to get two of these for around $250ish and RAID them. I will probably lose my job on Monday so I decided to just wait until a better time and faster units start to arrive.
I have two SSDs - one for each of my machines. I know I need more than 60 gigs. WHY DO I STILL WANT THIS SO BADLY ARGGHHH
Honest opinion; do you guys think this drive or even the 120gb model is worth buying, or wait a few eeks till the newer drives come out. This year a lot is going to change with SSD's. I have read there are some great drives coming from other manufacturers including OCZ.
I really want to try an ssd, but I also do not want to jump on this and a better drive for a few bucks more comes out in a few weeks. What are your honest thoughts?
as other I really do not like the fact that these are only 60 gigs either, wish the 120/160's were this price or even the 80gb Intel would be a little easier to deal with
New drives aren't going to be SATA 6G for a while, I'm going to wait out for a year with this cheap ass Agility before going hog wild on fancy upgrades. This is adequate current generation performance.
I think high end SATA II is silly if you're on AM3 or 775 like I am, where you'll be upgrading sooner than later anyway.
Any suggestions on which would be a better buy for a laptop? The 60gb Agility or the 40gb Intel 25m-v?
That's the situation that I'm in too, but I know that the newer drives are initially going to cost quite a bit more (Vertex Sandforce Limited Edition 100GB will start at $400+). I just don't know!

I want RAID0 SSDs, 120gb is not enough space. When they have a deal on 128s, that's when they will have my attention

i haven't even installed my kingston 40GB yet as i really want a new processor (and no TRIM yet, wtf) and to upgrade to win 7 at the same time.
but boy would this be nice to have
i really need to repurpose my systems. my "server" computer has a Q8400 w/4GB in it, and my "gaming" computer has an old opteron 165. i would really like an i860 or i920, but i'm afraid there'll be 32nm hexa core or cheaper quad cores by the end of the month.
probably not a better price/performance/size SSD by the end of the month, though.
