Price for CDRs is still $59.99 on website, but I called it in & got the sale price just fine.
The CSR even gave me a different $25 off $100 coupon since the one I gave her was expired.

Total with tax, AR, for modem & CDs was $24 & change.

Somebody over at FW said it works great. It's a DOCSIS cable modem. If your cable system uses DOCSIS modems (these days who's cable system doesn't??), this sucker should work like a charm.

when i used it (comcast, philly) it needed a hard reset every 1-2 days (and it wasn't an IP change either).

Thanks for the deal. I actually didn't bother with the CD-Rs seeing as how I already have a ton (plus I prefer not to wait on MIRs but I'm willing to wait for the modem in this case.) But I needed a USB 2.0 card anyway so I added that plus a box of ink pens to put me over $100 so I could use my $25 off coupon. Not a superhot deal in my case, but I've been wanting to get a cable modem for awhile now since DSL still isn't available in my area and nearly all the good modem deals these days are for new customers. I'm ready to stop renting at $5/month. It'll pay for itself by the end of the year.

I didn't bother looking around for any in-depth reviews, but the customer reviews on New Egg seemed very positive (and the price was roughly the same there btw.) I went ahead and got it from Office Max due to the coupon and the fact that I could return it should I run into any problems.

Mine arrived a couple days ago. Modem is working just fine so far, replacing the 3Com Sharkfin that I've had for years. Easy installation & no glitches thus far. Now if I can just get the rebates back quickly...

After you've placed your order, call OfficeMax.com to have your order price adjusted. Simply tell them that they have it advertised in their CURRENT SALES FLYER for a lower price.

Does anyone (Diggler?) have the actual sales circular that shows this modem at a price of $69.99? I just tried the approach that TheDiggler suggested, and the CS rep at OM would not lower the price. She says that she had the 3/9-3/15 flyer, but she couldn't find the modem. She asked me what page it was on.

If anyone who actually has the flyer listing the price at $69.99 can let me know what page and approximately where on the page the modem is listed at the original price, I would greatly appreciate it!

If you can get OM to PM Amazon.com (especially after an OM coupon was used in the order), more power to ya! My deal came out to $20AR w/ 200 CD-R's, Amazon's comes out to $47AR w/ no CD-R's. I don't consider your post a hijack at all!
