That's a good one, but the CD-RW drives are $59.99 not $50 and the scanner is $35.98 not $50, so you need to add a $4 FAR item to reach $100. total $0.00

I will add your combo idea to my post.

My combo idea #2 :Logitech Z540 5 piece Speakers $39.99 + 48X CD-RW drive $59.99 = $99.98 - $50 MIR - $25 off $100 Officemax coupon = $25

My combo idea #3 :Managers Chair $69.99 + 100 pack CDRs $24.99 + $5.01 worth FAR items = $100 - $30 MIR Managers Chair - $25 MIR 100 pack CDRs $20.01 worth FAR items - $25 off $100 Officemax coupon = $15

My combo idea #4 : Visioneer MX200 2MP 2X digital zoom 1.5" LCD screen Digital Camera $79.99 + $20.01 worth FAR items = $100 - $20.01 worth FAR items MIR - $25 off $100 Officemax coupon = $54.99

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned and I missed it, or I'm just stupid, but this is the first time I've considered trying one of these legendary huge multi-FAR combo dealies... I found a 25 off 100 coupon...but what exactly do I do with it? Is there something I print out and hand to the cashier B&M, or do I order the items online?
... Regardless, thanks for the post.

I have a question about one of the FAR items...the cheap little speakers. Basically, what are passive speakers?

I think it means they work like headphones - no built-in amplifier, no power cord..

and is this deal start on 2-16 or we can do it now?
thanx

Take a look at the title of this thread - the date is clearly stated as 2/16/03, and the online prices have not been changed yet...
Some are available online (listed below with links) but some are in-store only (the Cendyne is in-store only at this point).
Some store managers will take online coupons instore, and some will match competitors coupons (Staples, OfficeDepot) but that's hit or miss... I almost always just order online, it's easier that way (at least for me)....

I bought these speakers a year or so ago FAR and they SUCK --- I would only buy them if you absolutely need a $10 item to fill out your order. Even with the rebate I'd rather buy something for $10 that I need than to get these things again...

Just my 2 cents tho!

I tried to do a search for some reviews on the scanner. Nothing much came up. From what I can tell, the software for the scanner is pretty crappy, but what can one expect for $15???

On another note, it sure would have been nice to have the MSN rewards in time for this sale..:disgust:

If any of those CD-RW drives is $10, which one is the best? I have a Philips 804K from a whiel ago and it won't work in my XP system for some reason so I'm looking for a new one. I hardly ever have a need to burn anything so just a cheapie drive is fine as long as it's going to work and not break.

If you look at the ad for the scanner you will see that there is more than one SKU# (item #), which means that more than one scanner brand is being offered at the sale price. If you can read the number you can do a search for that item using the "order by iten number" link near the top of the Officemax home web page.

CenDyne, Verbatim (which is a subsidiary of CenDyne Inc), and the Poloroid are all probably either rebagded Aopen, Benq/Acer, or optiwrite MFG'ed CD-RW drive and there's not that much differents between them, so it doesn't matter which drive you buy.

Update : I was looking at the post for for the Cendyne deal that's on sale this week and some people say their Cendyne they got was a rebadged Samsung SW-248 48x24x48x, with 8MB buffer.

The CenDyne 48X is on-line, the Poloroid $48X is not currently on-line.

I bought 2 Aopens about 3 months ago, one stopped reading and writing everything, the other won't allow my computer to boot up so I had to take it out of my computer... I would stay away from Aopen, but this is just my experience...

think all the rebates will work? just copy the shipping receipt?

the burner has an om and mfr mir. same with each cd pack...so 6 copies of the receipt, and use copies of the upc too?

EDIT: also, is one cd pack better than the other?

Since I haven't really been able to determine it from this thread...is there any hope for us poor high school students without credit cards or cool parents to get in on the 25off100 coupon at B&M? If so, how exactly would you go about it? This is the first bunch of deals i've really wanted to get in on, so any help would be greatly appriciated..

2HY - If you or your friends have Paypal you could Paypal someone $75 (or whatever your cost will be after tax) then they can issue you a WebCert (which issues YOU a 16 digit MasterCard credit card number for $75).

20014967 Scotch Pop-up Tape @ $2.99 ($2.99MIR)

Sub TOTAL: $150.95
