They'll still do it over the phone, but not to just any shady brooklyn store. You'll get better luck if it's a major retailer. Even then they can make any nonsense excuse so YMMV.

Looks like you won't get the full $99 with the 820.
Perhaps $50?

The full $99 seems to apply to the 890.

no, its if you spend less then 99 on the printer then you only get enough to make the printer free. So if you get the printer on sale for 80, then you get 80 back. Read the fine print of the rebate form and it says it all. I would rather have the 890 for free, so either have to get the total up to 500 with some extras or shop somewhere else cuz it can be had for cheaper elsewhere. (340 shipped if you trust some of the "shady" online shops, 370 or 379 shipped at newegg).

Anyone know of somewhere that sells the 890 and the c-4000 that has a good coupon?

I did find that officemax has it for 450 with a free 64mb smartmemory, and then you can get a 50 off 250 coupon to make it 400 with a 64mb smartmemory if you want to go the 890 route through someone else. Not quite as good as the 820 deal, but if you do end up getting a $200 printer instead of just $100 plus the 64mb smartmemory all for 80 more.

Is there really any difference besides the 890 accepts roll paper and has the 256k instead of 32k input buffer? And what difference does the buffer make? Im thinkin of getting in on the deal since its the last day, if i can save 55 by going with the cheaper printer and not having to wait for an extra 100 in rebates then it might be worth it since there doesn't seem to be much difference.

And anyone think officemax will pricematch one of the online camera places, since i have seen the c-4000 listed for under 300 at some slightly shady places.

OD has a bad habit of shipping products without invoice. Last time I just called them about it and they said they would fax it to me. If you dont have a fax machine (I didn't), you can go to one of those copy/print/fax shops like kinkos and they'll usually offer incoming fax services. It's about $0.50-1.00 per page. Even some OD offer that service. They might not even charge you either since it was their mistake.

You can get a free fax account with eFax. They give you a phone number somewhere in the US where you can receive faxes and voice mail. It is then packaged up and sent as an attachment via email. I've been using it for years now. It is free.

Anyone know which is the better printer, the Epson 820 (six color ink, 2880x720 dpi) or the HP 1115 (3 color ink 2400x1200 dpi) that Comp-USA had on sale last weekend? I have both new, unopened and need to give one away to my brother.
