Got my $170 and $200. Two $100's left ( I upgraded the HDD.) One of the $100's should be mailing out any time now and the other was a re-submit so it is still processing... everything seems to be going very well.

Actually I just checked status again and they sent one of the $100.00 today, so I just have one $100 rebate in processing. SWEET!!!

my 100, 140 and 170 rebates are showing up, I sent my rebates in extremely last (postmarked last possible day, January 10th)

I talked to Jim Weaver at Dell about the FSS ID number email (I bought through EPP) on Monday.
Right off the bat he was hostile about "people that got rebate coupons from F*twallet that were
not meant for this computer"!
He asked me how I found out about this deal, I told him internet, but I ordered through the company EPP link.
I even had to give a company code to get to the Dell EPP website.
He asked me why I didn't buy a monitor, when I said I already had one, he basically said "AH HA, that's
one of the triggers that flag the rebate request". He said they checking to see if people how people
linked (?) to the FSS page to order the computer to see if they were legit.
When I told him I was EPP, he said I still had to respond to the FSS email (or else no rebates!).
He said there was no CSR that could authorize anything and they would decide who was legit after the
deadline on the email, and then notify people.

He mentioned the hundreds of thousands of dollars that Dell was losing because of this.
I wonder if Dell is thinking about the millions they will lose if they stiff people on these rebates. Just
ask Buy.com how much the Hitachi monitor fiasco cost them in the class action settlement.

When did you send you rebates? I send at Dec 7, but not a single check yet.
I think it is more importatnt to when they sent in their FSS junk. B/c all of my rebates show up on the site, but I haven't gotten any of them yet, but I did wait a week until I sent the FSS junk.

I am still missing the $200 rebate on rebatestatus.com. Is anyone else in the same situation? The other 4 rebates are being listed as being processed. I sent out all the rebates on 12/14/02 and 2 showed up. I resubmitted the three that were missing last december and now 4 are showing up. What should I do?

Never got any FSS emails or anything.

I too have 4 out of 5 rebates showing up on-line, with the missing one being the $200 rebate. The RebateStatus.com CSR's claim that per Dell's instructions, they're no longer handling these 5 rebates. All inquiries are to go to Dell. I'm waiting until 10 weeks have elapsed before I call Dell about this matter (assuming I haven't heard anything further before then).

I think they are going to be sorry they have treated customers this way. If they didn't want us taking advantage of the rebates, they shouldn't have offered them. Since they DID offer them, they should honor them.

Just called them. Fortunately, I keep all copies and used certified mail with return receipt. Still waiting for $200 and $100 rebate.

Btw, my favorite monitor is 22" NEC FP1350. It's great.

If I got all of my rebates, my net cost would be $178.

I used my own carrier for shipping, for some reason, still don't get any charge from them.

On the F*twallet discusion on this deal, many people are getting rejections for the Early Bird
rebate and anyone who upgraded their HD are getting rejected on that rebate too!

I went ahead and resubmitted that one, still waiting for the 5th to show, gonna call pretty soon if it doesnt.

I didn't choose any upgrades on the system.

It seems the 11-26 deal is not the only one people are not getting rebates for.
From the discussions there, it looks like a common problem with Dell rebates in
general. Same run around, same "lost" rebates, same Dell shoddy customer service.

Man, I'm just so frustrated with all this. This experience has made me not want to buy ANYTHING that has MIRs EVER again. I guess some of you guys got lucky with your rebates, but I'm not as fortunate as some of you guys. 3 of 5 rebates aren't even showing up. :disgust: Do you think it'll be possible to return the computer if these rebates don't get approved? Because I'm just so disappointed in Dell right now.

Not only did the $170 video card rebate never show up in the system after numerous submissions and emails, as I submitted all 5 four times (all together).

I am so tired of the lack of both rebatestatus to respond to my emails and Dell's lack of response to my concerns. I submitted and paid nearly two months ago. I do qualify as a teacher and have waited too long. I sent them a copy of my pay stub and told them to contact my school administration dept if they need any further verification, but if they will not get the 5th rebate in the system nor honor the deal, they can come get their computer.

It is total BS the way they are handling it and they should bite the bullet on this one for those who are valid and learn from their mistakes. I am so miffed that their customer service regarding this is so lax.

I just won't buy from them anymore. If it goes back, I will buy something else.

So I'm rather happy today, $610 worth of my rebates seam to be on the way. FYI I submitted all the rebates in the second week of Dec, all rebates showed up on their site by mid January, and got that FSS# BS thing and submitted that info twice once through email the other through fax 2nd week of Feb. Never resubmitted any rebates, and didn't call anyone on this, but I may due the denying of one of the rebates.
We have received your submission and it is being processed. Please check back again to receive the date your rebate or premium item was mailed.
I was denied that rebate #036179, and was sent a post card or whatever which I haven't seen yet. For the same reason people have stated before. I am wondering who does qualify? As the rebate form did not say that anyone was not qualified, I intend to dispuit this but I will wait to see what this postcard says.

I received the infamous postcard today. No information that wasn't on rebatestatus. No phone number. No information on what to do. Nothing.

Guess I'm going to call Dell tomorrow and see what happens that way. I'm not expecting much, though. I bet they figure the $610 rebate is enough and we won't complain much about the other $100. If that's what they are thinking, they are in for a surprise.:|

Yeah I'm getting a lot of BS, I called the rebatecenter, and they told me that Dell will be handling most of my rebates. When I call Dell they tell me that the rebate center handles them. So far I have 3 show up on the rebate site but only 2 that will go through, the 3rd one saying that my institution is not participating in the deal.

the $200 and $140 aren't showing up, and Dell just tells me to wait. Man spent $20 on priority mail and conf, and sent another set as well...when will Dell take responsibilty?

I was over on the Dell User Community message boards and posted a message saying that we should initiate a class-action suit. Guess what? The Nazis removed my account due to an inflammatory user name "WheresMyMoney" and deleted the thread. So far, only $100 rebate has shown up.
