Just finish talk with dell's CSR for the rebate issue for purchasing of Dell Dimension 8250 on 11/26/02.
I ordered it on-line on 11/26/02. But they put 12/02/02 as order date in my packing slip and ship date 12/05/02. (Rebates are only for order dated 11/21/02-11/26/02 on packing slip.) Called Dell several times.
First time, said, dell would credit the rebates back to my credit card, ask me to wait for 15 days.
Second time, said, they can not authorize credits, they already processed rebates for me and I do not need to send in any rebate form, wait 8-10 weeks for rebates.
This time, call again to get confirm, said, I have to mail in rebate form, even though the order date in packing slip is not 11/26/02, but they can not gurantee rebates because they are customer service. (But, they represent Dell and provide service for rebate issues, don't they?)
Can't believe a "reputable" Dell has such CSR! Can't give me any helpful solution. Only wasting my time on waiting!
Learn my lesson! Don't trust Dell again. Dell is a cheater. My family will never ever buy Dell's product again for sure. :|
