question: I work for Gamestop which is the parent Company of Software Etc. One of the qualifying stores. I have to sell Software and hardware for PC so does this make me qualify? FYI: Software Etc, Babbages, Funcoland, Planet X and Gamestop are the same company and all will be called Gamestop very soon.

Friend of mine should be getting his code in the next couple of days. Does anyone know if those codes will be checked against the name they were issued to? He doesn't want the package, and is going to hook me up. We're trying to figure out if he should order it himself and then give the whole deal to me, or if he can just give me the post card and I can order it myself. Any thoughts?

This intel thing is driving me crazy. Everyday I get home and wait for mail to get here. I sent my information off the day after the last test was released. Other people at my job got their code before me even though they sent their infomation in after me. I will say this much the AMD deal went alot smoother for me than this one.

Still no code my way, The test came out on Oct 23rd, I sent mine in the morning on Oct 24th via ups next day air. They received mine in the morning on Oct 25th. Mine was undoubtably one of the first ones they received, and I included all the requested information and Yes I am eligible. So I can't help but wonder, everyday after looking through the mail and discovering nothing, "WHERES MY DEAL?"

I really do not understand Intel's method of madness here. I mailed my authorization a full week after a friend at work did and I have my package already. He has not received his code yet.

Only thing that I can think of is they did Last in First out type of thing. Waited till they got enough to cover the amount of bundles they had available and from there started the process of verification.

Im working my way up through intel here. I called then and have been escalated 3 times, every time the guy knows a little bit more The last guy I talked to seems to be a sort of manager, and he gave me his full name and phone numer. He said that I should wait 1 week and if nothing comes, We will contact and "work out what options we have to get you your products." I also called PC Treasues Inc, and can honestly say they guy was an asshole to me. Forget them, they said that they will have em all MAILED by friday, and wait a week after that to recieve them. I told him "can u just check your system to tell me if you ever recived my order, it could have been lost in the mail", he said "there is no way I will do that" He could not tell me why not. (probably cause he is too fricken stupid) For the record, Quiz 6 was available the 23rd, i mailed US standard first class mail on the 25th of october. However, my buddy overnighted it the 24th, he got his code on friday, so they are not doing last in first out, they are just dumb. They got one week, one week till I start telling customers at circuit city to "just burn your money, dont buy an intel" - Pragma

Things that may effect your eligibility are as follows:

1. Form Incomplete... If any of the lines on your form that were required are not filled in, the applicant will be labeled ineligible.

2. Paystub not sent in the requested manner... This information was asked for specifically so that it would save time for all involved. Any variations such as photocopied stubs will be reviewed on a case by case basis. If you have Direct Deposit and are sending in a printout of your paystub, it does take extra time to verify employment and your patience is greatly appreciated.

3. Time sent in... If your form was sent in on the second day, as opposed to the second week, you will have a greater chance of receiving your code.

If you are reasonably confident that you qualify for all of the above criteria, you can expect to receive your code soon.

viper - sure ill keep you posted with whats going on with me, but just for the record, i did not use the "contact us" crap that is on the retailedge site. All that does it start a 4 day timer, after which you recieve an automated reply I called intel directly, and worked my way up thier ladder (a tedious process as each escalation required them to call you back) Ill be waiting tomarrow, fri, sat, then mon, if on tues/wed i still got no code then i get angry Intel can keep escalting me till im talking to the CEO, cause they won't be getting rid of me hehe.

I also sent mine the next day after the test came out and still nothing. I work for BB and have direct deposit. My boss and co-worker got theirs but they had pay stubs. What is taking them so long! I was hoping for an early X-mas present! :disgust:

The envelope the code is contained within looks an awful lot like junk mail. The return address is not intel, as a matter of fact, it doesn't have intel written anywhere on the outside. IIRC the return address is PCT. I was about 2 steps from the trash can before I relaized that the PCT was PC Treasures.

So if your quick on the trigger (as it relates to throwing away junk mail) take extra time to check everything. I hope no one actually threw away their codes, that would seriously suck for them

AH CRAP! Im freaking out over here, I'm going through every letter we have in the house, I'm going to start digging through the trash soon, I hope to god i really didnt throw it away but im scared none the less, I really need this system.
