Got my tracking # right away after ordering. Checked UPS, package is 7.00lbs and comes from ADDISON, IL,..
so UPS ground was fine for 2 day shipping. (which was only about 4-5$). IT is out for delivery now and hopefully
the UPS driver won't leave it at my DOOR as I am not home.

Just an update for everyone.....Phil from Intel called me today to let me know that they are still sending out codes and that we should recieving them soon. He asked me to Thank you guys for your paitence etc. with everything that has been going on. Hang in their guys.....Also one more thing....when you get your code and order with your Credit Card make sure you have the available credit on it......if the charge does not go through for some reason than there is no way to get a 2nd code.

Another day and still no code here. I also bought an Antec PSU 550W from the for sale/trade forum and he sent it last Friday Nov. 29 and it's Thursday now and he said he sent it priority. Does anyone knows some one who gotten a priority package this late? What is the longest ever?

I feel your pain Viper22! I am really getting sick of this waiting game. Another day no code!!!! Did they tell you that they physically are verifying your package? :disgust: You would think that after all this time they would have req'd a list from Best Buy and all the other companies that use direct deposit of the employees that had they have packages for. Oh well Let the pain continue!!!!!!!!!!!!:disgust:

i sent mine in like 2 weeks or so after and got my code already.. my package should be here tomorrow.... I know I know... this should be in the brag n moan forum.

I may be setting myself up here, but I figure this forum could use some good news. Got my system on Wed, put it together that night. Spent Thursday evening installing critical patches from Windows update, so far so good. BTW The Win XP is just the CD, no box or manual. Additionally there are errors in the MB documentation and on the MB. The manual does not list the front panel LED connections correctly, took me a while but i figured it out. Concerning the MB itself, intel's webpage says certain bios with this board send incorrect voltages to the front and rear fan so that they only run a 30% speed.

Anywho...can anyone answer the following querey:

This is my first WindowsXP system. In order to avoid stability problems should I install the McAfee Internet Security packaged with this deal, or would you suggest that I stick with my NOrton Antivirus 2002? I went to Cnet to read up on their review of McAfee, they loved it, but the users comments section trashed it. Anyone have experience with either software package and WindowsXP?

Personally i use Norton AV. I have not used a McAfee product in a long time and probobly wont again any time soon. Just a personal preference. One good thing about the copy of WinXP Pro that we are getting is that it has Service Pack 1 already slipstreamed onto the disc.

My front LED worked fine.. i am using an Antec 1035X case (black).. what was wrong? my cables are labeled from the case to the
mboard.. (did you look at the sticker showing mboard layout and pins?)

Actually the opposite I have not even gotten my code as of yet. I wont know if i got the code today till later on tonight when i get home from work.
