the mobo is the same as the original, but added 2 serial ata, can do up to 333 ddr ram, great move on intel's part

Unfortunatly not...you have to still be employed with one of the companies. They will verify employment before fufilling the order trust me on that one.

I work for one of the companies listed. I am on their payroll, but haven't worked for a few months because I'm at college. I'm still on payroll so that when I go home I can work without the hassle of being rehired and doing new paperwork. That should mean I'm technically still an employee right?

Another thing, the company that is listed doesn't exist anymore. It has merged with other stores but still sells the same software and such. I'm still eligible right? I worked for the company that is listed, and I still work for the new company that came out of the merger...

Ah hell, there's no harm in me trying to get in on this deal, I'd love to get my hands on that combo! What's the worst that could happen?

Okay, now that I see Intel added Serial ATA, DDR333, and RAID (can anyone confirm RAID is onboard the mobo being offered in the deal or just optional), I am going to seriously look into getting a part-time job at Best Buy as long as I can do it without preventing me from continuing to receive unemployment! I GOTTA get in on this deal! It's almost worth it for the CPU alone!

Th RAID is onboard, and is for the SATA only, and in case this question comes up, for the serial ata, you can use raid or regular

also you can only use one device for each serial ata connector, so only 2 hard drives on the serial ata

If your still an employee than i assume it would be fine. You might want to call up just in case to be sure but it sounds like it would be cool. Good luck.

you get windows xp with the system, and hey since the RAID is serial ata only, i have a 40GB drive to sell, you can take your pick between a IBM, Maxtor, Western Digital, cause i have to get rid of at least one of my three 40GB's

So is the serial ATA interface limited to only two drives or is it just this motherboard? It seems kind of short-sighted to offer Serial ATA and only support two drives.

there is also 2 ide ports on the mobo, like with my setup, its gonna be 2 hard drives on the master ide port, and my 16x dvd, 48x liteon cd-rw drive on the secondary

so for right now, im not going to use the serial ata, but ill will eventually get rid of my ATA100 hard drives, and get just SATA hard drives
