I have direct deposit yet I still get a pay stub, theres just no check inside of it. Even though you have direct deposit you are still entitled to a detailed pay stub as if you didnt have direct deposit.

FWIW, I don't believe that sort of restriction is "The Law", so if anything, they would have to make you sign something (legal contract agreeing to those restrictions), and if you violated it, Intel would have to sue you for damages in civil court (breach of contract). It certainly wouldn't be worth their time, nor the bad PR they would get.

Intel does not have legal rights over their property past the first sale. It's called the "first sale" doctrine, look it up. The only way they could would be through a contractual stipulation or basically a leasing contract, which would make it something other than an outright sale.

IANAL, YMMV, VWP

As far as posting this in an open forum, why not? It's a hot deal for those employees that can get in on it. How is it any different than posting a local/regional hot deal, that only certain people can get in on? As far as the SB Dell coupon code thread being locked, the forum rules explicitly prohibit posting or requesting non-public coupon codes. They do not prohit posting of deals that may only apply to a certain limited portion of the population.

My personal guess is, this is a PR move by Intel to butter-up all of those retail sales drones out there (no offense), get them subconciously thinking warm and cozy thoughts about Intel for being so nice to them, and then them promoting Intel systems over AMD systems to customers this Christmas season. (Pretty clever of Intel, I must admit.)

Info stolen from some other bargain website...

For those looking at another alternative, Intel has a deal for people who recieved postcards with promo codes on them for the same processor but a lesser motherboard. Perhaps someone might take advantage of that...

as far as this being a legal contract, it is, but you don't have t4o sign anything for it to be... aka
you walk into a store, pick up some gum, give the casheir money and leave the store.. you just legally have made a contract.

I got my reply email weds.. sent my form and letter and original paycheck stub dated 10/18..
blacked out the appropriate stuff..soooo.. hopefully I will get this!!
I am glad its the D845EPT2 board.. it will be nice to have built in USB 2.0 on the motherboard!

now all i gotta do is wait for the approval code, and the website to goto to utilitize it.
I hope these codes don't get hijackked and people start misusing the website.

Intel Alternate Deal

That promo appears to be restricted to specific retail employees as well. I.e., pass a test, send in your pay stub, and then get your one time only (post card) code.

Nate,

I'm having the same problem. That and the fact that intel won't respond to email inquiries. Let me know if you figure out how to get it to work.

Same here

They responded once and told me to put in "000"
But that doesn't work for me (Sam's Club)

I replied back saying that it didn't work...no word yet...

Ok, what the hell board is this? I have heard like 3 different boards refered to in here. The beginning says D845EBT2, this board doesnt even show up on Intels site, the link shown in the beginning shows hte D945PEBT2, now someone on page five says its the D845EPT2. Can someone tell me which board this it? Im not gonna even bother if its the D845EPT2, that board is a piece.

Suck ass?

That motherboard kicks ass! Sure you can't overclock it but at 2.53GHz who the hell cares? It's stable has plenty of extra's like sata, ata 100, raid 0,1, and usb 2.0.
The board sells for around $150-$160 and the chip is $230, that alone makes this a kick ass deal! then throw on winXP pro! that's another $100-$200

Sell it, so I can keep my 1.3GHz system? Then what turn around and buy a better board that will give me overclocking abilities? No thanks this stuff is for me.

And that people is my 2 cents!

The "000" store number still didn't work for Wal-Mart.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see if they
ever reply to my e-mail. Thanks guys, if you
figure out anything else, let me know.

This is a great deal for those in that line of work, If i worked at any of those places I would be all over this, must take very long time to process these orders if they are verifing employment.
