Rock on, it's great to hear that they're finally shipping.

Of course, alot of us had given up on it and spent the allocated cash on Black Friday... Might have to wait till the next paycheck rolls in to actually put the cash down for it.

All in all though it's quite a relif to hear that they're shipping, I can't wait to replace my aging BX6r2 + Celly 366 combo!!!

Still nothing in my mail today. I fired off an email to Intel about it but dont expect to hear back till monday. It kind of makes me mad the people who sent their info in right away are getting the codes last while people who sent it in later are getting the codes first. Oh well here is hoping for it to be in the mail on monday.

Just got my mail and still no code.....This is definatly not cool......my coworker who sent his info in a week after me ordered and got his stuff already. I tried called the Shop Intel people but they say you gotta email the people through the Retail Edge site which i did on Saturday and have not recieved a response yet.

This is just me thinking here. I heard about this deal a day or two before it was first posted on AT. My friends GF works at the local CompUSA and she was talking to me about it. She found out about it from a factory rep. She did not specify so I will assume an Intel rep. She was told that there was a posibilty that some may actually be sent out 2.8Ghz CPU's wrather than the 2.53's. Do you think there is a possibility that the first people that sent theirs in may have a chance of getting the 2.8's and that is why the people that sent theirs in later are getting their codes before the ones that sent theirs in first. I am not saying this is whats going on, I am more or less just thinking out loud. But I do know for a fact that she was told some 2.8's MAY be sent out. I do not know if the rep was feeding her a line of crap or what, but that is what she was told. Not trying to get anything started, just throwing an idea out there. She was also told that they would be starting to ship around Dec 3. I do not know if any of this info has been posted before, I did not read the entire thread, just remember from the first few days that the tread started nothing was mentioned. Also I do not know the validity of the info I have given because it it straight from her and she could be mistaken about some of the info. Time will tell.

Somehow i think the Intel rep was feeding a line of BS. I dont see why they would give the first people that signed up a faster processor. My coworker got his order today and it was a 2.53Ghz chip. I just wish i knew where my code was. I have all of my parts waiting for that Board and Processor so i can build my new system.
