No... really. They don't supply any media with their package. If you want a free 4X DVD+RW, buy the MicroAdvantage BTC drive because they do give you one.

Well, this drive is great. Iv'e got the firmware, changed the bitsetting on the DVD+R, it shows as a DVDROM in dvdinfo.

Picked up the 10 pk for Sony rated at 1-4x. With the firmware, it burned at 8. No issues with the media.

try learn to read. first of all, it's dvd rw, 2nd, it's about what should be in the box, if it's supposed to be like that, great, if in fact some components are missing, then it doesn't matter how much it costs, customer has the right to get a replacement part, notice usually when you open a package, there includes a mannual asking you to check for all the componets first?? NO?? oh, my bad, you can't read.
