Did the same $19.99 CD-RW/Printer/Scanner deal back in August and received all of my OfficeMax rebates with no problems. Still waiting on rebates from other stores that pricematched the deal.

Cheers!

OM is pretty good on rebates. I got my Cendyne rebate in a very timely manner, about 6 weeks I think. They're not quite as fast as staples, but as long as you read ALL the requirements and don't forget ANTHING you should definately get your rebate back promptly.

This rebate is through OM, correct? If I got in on the Peachtree deal at Staples a couple weeks ago, would anything prevent me from getting my rebate from OM? This isn't bad at all; I could use a printer, and a CD-RW would be nice.

Just a warning - the scanner looks pretty worthless, according to these reviews...

I don't have any personal experience with it, however, so I can't comment directly on it.

Do not get the printer, its nothing but a headache. Spend the extra money and get a real one. It guzzles ink, destroys paper, and does just about everything but actually print. When it does print, it works at a about 2 pages per minute of text. No joke

People aren't getting these printers or scanners for their usefulness, more likely they're buying them just to have a 40x burner they got paid to take.

Yes, I get a $40 off $175 offer using ebates. Says it expires 10/30. ebates pays 3% @ Officemax.com.

Now the big question - do this online or B&M? When do the websites usually get updated, anyone know?

The rebate form that's linked online for the CDRW ends today (10/26), so I'm assuming a new one will be posted for this next deal - anyone know of any links for that yet?

AND WHOAH - what is this line doing in the Peachtree Rebate:
Include printout of your email after registering with Spotlife

Anyone know WTF is up?

Inguyen,

Did you change your Host file in the Windows folder (System32/Drivers/Etc/Host)? The same thing happened to me when I installed kazaa and changed the Host file. All you need to do is remove some of the sites that are blocked in your Host file.

I noticed that this deal relies, in part, on a $35 Instant Rebate (IR) for the Peachtree software. In past Peachtree deals, at Staples.com, the IR has been treated as a "coupon" and additional coupons could not be stacked on the IR unless more items (i.e more dollars) were purchased.

I don't knowif OM.com will do the same...

No, Office Max does NOT do that, you will be fine with the coupon. And yes, it's better to use $40 off $175 through Ebates, so if you haven't signed up yet, do it today and if you need a referral, look in my profile OM has a $10 56k modem for FREE after MIR, so you can make $40 before taxes taken out. Not bad...

The rebate on the Poloroid CD-RW drive was valid from 10/20/02 - 10/26/02 according to the printed-out pdf.

It's not the same peachtree rebate from staples, seems both go to rebateshq. Anyone can confirm this?

if no one has kept up w/ the other threads scattered around, there's talk about teh peachtree rebate being only valid IN STORE and not when you buy it online. A couple ppl seem to have called in and "verified" that, and some ppl on FW have said the last time this happened, because they bought it online, they got rejected.

Now, if you live near an OM, you can probably go in an argue for your online purchase... but the closest one to me is so far, and I prefer to argue in person than over the phone. So i think i'm gunna pass on this and maybe wait for staples to do this again

I can't find the printer or the CD-RW drive on their website.

Link?

Ok, I found the Poloroid Drive, but the price is $99.99.

I still can't find the Epson C40 printer. The nearest match is the HP DeskJet 825C Color Inkjet Printer (item 20157795) 49.98 - 30 rebate = $19.98.

I seriously doubt that purchasing at OfficeMax.com was the real reason they got rejected. However, a two minute phone call to Parago will clear up any doubts anyone may have. I called Parago and was told that "purchases at OfficeMax stores only" refers to any purchase at OM B&Ms ,OfficeMax.com as well as phone prders. They were also aware of the error on the rebate form in the terms & conditions referring to spotlife registration which has no relevance to the Peachtree rebate. Simply ignore it and as always make copies of everything you submit.

...

In the OfficeMax rebate is says 'Purchase a Peachtree Accounting 2003 at OfficeMax'.
I checked the rebate for the Staples offer and there it says 'Rebate applies to a Peachtree® Accounting 2003 [...] purchased at Staples stores, Staples.com or Staples Direct only.'

So I am not sure if the rebate is valid online?????
