Anyway, a little ghosting in MoH:AA but I don't game a whole lot, so it's not that big a deal to me.

You said you noticed ghosting in MoH:AA What cable were you using...were you connected via analog or your DVI connection?
Thanks.
First of all, the text smoothness is not up-to-par even with my 3-year-old Iiyama. Even with Cleartype on, you can still see jagged edges of the text on the Planar.
On a side note, has anyone able to enable dual-monitor mode, while still playing games like Quake 3/Madden? I found out that I have to disable dual-monitor mode before I can play any games at all.

Anyone remember that website that someone had posted on here a while back that has all kinds of screen tests for checking for dead pixels, convergence, etc?

I would say you have a problem then. LCD's have perfect geometry. So it should be much much better on the Planar than any CRT. What video card are you using? Another thing is that you shouldn't have any problem playing games when you have dual monitors.

Here's a program to test your monitor. It's made by Nokia and can be downloaded here. Most of the test are not applicable for LCD monitors but the color test is good to check for dead pixels.
I too got the ADU model. I will be keeping this as it has no dead pixels. For those of you trying to exchange the ADU for a Z model I would highly suggest testing for dead pixels first. If you got a good one your replacement might not be so. Better to keep an ADU model with no dead pixels than get a replacement with dead pixels.

Don't know if this is normal but, when I rebooted my system there was no POST screen display. Is this just how DVI is or is there something wrong?

That's the way my 17.4 planar was through DVI on an ATI 8500. With the 19", I have no problem seeing the post information.
