For the hundredth (ok, third) time, they are the SAME THING!!!

I don't believe this is the case. Although the specs on the display (contrast, brightness, resolution) are the same, the 1904z model came with 4 usb ports while the 1904adu comes with only 2. Not a big difference but I believe the two models are different.

As we are introducing new product, we often use development model names that we have no intention of using on released product. Unfortunately, in a recent production build of Planar's model CT1904Z (part numbers 996-0581-00 and 996-080-00), these monitors were incorrectly labeled with the development model name. The specifications of the monitor you received are consistent with our part numbers and we have received excellent feedback on this new model. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I got the ADU... this is my 3rd Planer, Tirpple Head!

One thing: What is the deal with stuck pixels on these? I purchased my two Planar 17.4" Pivots from Dell and neither had any stuck pixels... without even looking seriouslly, I've found three on the new 19" CT1904ADU.

I've read others on this thread complain of same... I don't remember anyone reporting this with the 17.4" we purchased in the spring!

Mine has 4!!! Dell is sending me a new one. Hopefully it'll be much better. If it's got a lot of dead/stuck pixels too, I might try sending it back to Planar. I would have gone to them first, but their warranty says they would send back a refurbished monitor and I prefer a new one.

Actually, I went with Planar first to return the monitor. The person I spoke to says that Planar sends a new one during the first 6 months of the warranty.
