Compared to my Planar 18.1" this thing is a little thinner and runs a lot cooler. The 18" has the power supply built in, whereas this has an external power brick.
Also I notice the ghosting effect greatly diminishes after a little bit of warmup.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but:Originally posted by: k0rww
I'm using a Radeon 8500 with the DVI interface.
Resolution set to 1280X1024@60Hz
No dead pixels.
Text is definitely jagged for diagonal letters, like the "W", definitely inferior to an analog monitor at same resolution!
Can't set the refresh rate to 75Hz in digital mode but can in analog mode.
Spec states 75Hz refresh rate in both analog and digital.
Refresh rate doesn't seem to be important for an LCD, I would not be able to use an analog monitor at 60Hz.
The vertical alignment using: http://www.monitorsdirect.com/toolkit/index.shtml is a little off and I didn't find an adjustment to correct this misalignment. Does anyone know if this can be corrected?
TIA,

A question for you guys who already received yours (mine's still in transport... grr...).
Can this monitor hook up 2 systems? One using RGB & one using DVI, much like those CRT monitors with RGB & BNC connectors...

is that a bad dot pitch? does it really matter?
all I know is that it looks a heck of a lot better than my old pos compaq 17" crt
