A quick update-this is still in stock at Newegg at the same price ($4 shipping) and the rebate ends on 12/7. I got one and am pretty happy with it. My box is fairly noisy (I have cooler fans on both my hard drives, one intake fan, and three out fans-I'm a bit obsessive about reducing heat) and any additional noise added by this card was hardly noticeable.

Well, I owned this exact same card a month ago. It was idling at 60C, which was unacceptable. I ended up returning it, and with some prodding Newegg waived the restocking fee. Maybe I'm a prude, but the max i would like the card to idle at is probably mid-40C.
Could be I got a lemon, though.
Most of the newer GPUs run at least that high. My 6800GT runs at 60-70 or so, sometimes gets up to 75 after heavy play. The core slowdown temp is set at 120, so I guess there is plenty of room. One set of drivers a while ago was also reporting the temps even higher than it should have, but I think they fixed that.
So, yes, you panicked in vain.
Thump - you have to use the "coolbits" registry tool to be able to see the card temperature in display properties (as well as other cool settings). Find "coolbits2" on the net, it should be a file with a few lines of registry settings. Run it, and you will then see more stuff under the display properties of your adapter.

I haven't received an email. I suppose I better call them and see if they lost it.
