This is the same as those deals with the sunglasses that take out the 2-page ads in Car & Driver. Your price is free + jacked up shipping. These glasses cost about $1 apiece wholesale.
Not that they're anything bad, nothing wrong with cheap sunglasses. (I think there's a song about that.)
BTW, those Tommy, DKNY, Fossil, etc, those are all mostly just cheap products anyway, they're copies of the nicer Smiths/Revos/Oakleys, they make them in bulk, slap a designer name on them, and sell them for $30 in Dept. Stores.
If you want some good glasses, look for brands, Smith, RayBan, Serengeti, Oakley, Maiu Jim. Look for glass or polarized lenses. These have the best clarity, UV blockage, overall eye protection.
Personally, I find the best deals on glasses from several places:
1. TJ Maxx and Marshalls, Ross: Mostly cheap crap (like above), but often they get Closeout stock from Sunglass Hut, etc, and there's some really nice stuff. I've picked up really nice Smiths/Reebok/Polo/Serengeti there for under $10 a piece. You have to know what to look for. Go to the hut and learn the difference.
2. Gear.com: Has a nice clearance section, nice brands like the Smiths, (Can you tell I really like the Smiths?) I picked up some Legend Polarized there for under $20. Their style is mostly sports and skate-rat styles.
3. Sunglass Hut Outlet & Clearance in retail stores: This is where there are the best deals. I got a $180 pair of Maui Jims for $19.00 off of the clearance rack at a SH Outlet. Look in the big outlet centers around your home (Tanger, etc.), some of them have a SH.
Just in general look for clearance, Sports Authority, Big5 Sporting Goods, they can all be good if there's a nice sale.
They're not free, just really cheap and the jacked up shipping includes the cost of the glasses
