Been enjoying the game - but the bug with it not detecting wireless xbox 360 controllers has me bummed....
\hopefully they'll fix it soon.
Doesn't this game have time limits and checkpoints?
I hate check points with a passion. Let me save when I want dammit. I also hate time limits...no fun if you're feeling rushed all the time.
ugh. I hate console games on PC's. there is no reason for a check point or time limit.
If I have 1 complaint about the game it's that the boss battles are ungodly hard for no real reason. A coked up CURE member with a piece of glass kicking my ass when I'm firing round after round from a shotgun into him? I dunno, seems silly in that regard.
Then again, it's in line with the first one.
Otherwise, definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite game that's come out this year.
Time limits are a form of challenge. It's your personal preference whether you like that challenge or not, but a blanket statement that there's no reason to have them is silly. Besides, at least us PC version players will no doubt have a mod to remove them if you so choose.
All I see is boobies :awe:

Neither checkpoints nor time limits have anything to do with consoles. They are game design decisions.

Or if it's like the first one you could just beat the game and unlock the survival mode. Though I guess that has a time limit too as your health drains continually and food items are limited.A shame it has time limits. It looks like it'd be a fun game to just kick back and do some mindless killing when I get bored with other things. Yes, time limits make for more challenging gameplay but I personally dislike time limits in games. Maybe if the fan base can get a mod to change the time limits then I'll consider picking it up.

When I bought Dead Rising, I was expecting it to be like Left4Dead (was before L4D came out). I was supremely disappointed that one hand would be permanently glued to a stupid cam and that I had to take pictures of these retards while hitting them over the head with golf clubs, potted plants, and restaurant chairs or something. Come on, give me a freakin shotgun and lets have some zombie-killing fun!
I gave up after saving 5 or 6 people, thought it was a completely ruined game that had tons of potential. I won't be falling for this trick twice so I won't be buying Dead Rising 2.
