I have about 5 Samsung Spinpoint drives and not a single one has failed on me. Seagate on the other hand is an entirely different story.

While I like my 500GB F3, the majority of testing shows that it is NOT faster than the 1TB drive: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/HDD-6Gbit,2528-8.html.

For less than $60, though, the 1TB model is definitely the one to get.

It's not faster than the current generation VelociRaptor. You will not find a review anywhere on the web claiming the Sumsung is faster except this site you linked which is comparing apples to oranges and using no realworld application based tests making their results meaningless.
