I came across this deal independently this morning while shopping for hard drives. While it was a hot deal for these particular items, my primary concern was to get the best possible hard drive performance for the money. I took too much time looking at benchmarks and missed the deal.

It holds one drive. Either 2.5" or 3.5". In the picture, the opening that is shown is for a 2.5" drive. The larger door (you can see the outline of it) flips down when you insert the 3.5" drive.

But you are correct, even at $89.99 it is still a very good deal: you get a good HDD at a decent price + a free brand-name external enclosure.
