Both rebates printed out at the register.

The $20 was damaged.

The part just after the signature is unuseable.

I'm thinking of using the web pdf rebate form instead of the partial rebate form from the register.

Same problem with the damaged sales slip here. Purchased two back on the 11th and got both the $10 and $20 rebate slips at the register (one unit for me, one for the gf who fills out all the rebates these days) and she just went through hell trying to figure the dern things out. Ended up printing out the pdf for one of the $20 rebates and included the damaged one from the store; hopefully this will not confuse the rebate-bots. Even more confusing for the re-bots are the $0 amounts on the rebate receipts printed out at the register (yeah, try sending them in with photocopied UPC codes, that will certainly confuse them!)(I used copies of the real receipts, and matched all the order numbers on the receipts with the ones that print out on the rebate forms).

I've only used one of them and it seems to work pretty fast using usb2.0 gear all the way (hub, cables, ports on mobo); loaded up a single 100 meg file in minimal amount of time. The gf already tossed the packaging but IIRC it had the stickers mentioned by other posters and the trial versions of the software.

Thanks. Anyone used this? That would be fine if the Cruzer Micro MP3 Companion works well, but no one here seems to have used one and Amazon reviews aren't too good.

I was hoping to find one that had a built in MP3 player and thumb drive input, like the VRFM7 mentioned in this thread, but with the VRFM7, it'd be too hard to get to a certain high track #.

Yeah that's the one I just mentioned and it's talked about in the thread I linked. It would just be almost unusable.

Well the good thing I just found out about the VRFM7 transmitter is that once its plugged in you can scroll backwards from there to get the last songs. So the hardest songs to get to is actually in the middle.

In yellowfiero's thread, there's another link to a FW thread, and in both the majority of posts are negative. And those are mainly just sound quality (some said it sounded worse than AM!). I think some didn't work at all. But my main concern was the track issue, and being able to find a usuable freq. if it only had a handful of selectable freq's. With 512MB, that be what, around 100 songs? Even using your method, it'd be a slight pain to have to even select the 10th track or so in each direction. And it resets every time you turn the car off. I guess no one makes one (yet) that's sufficient.

I opted to send in the pdf file rebate form for the $20.

I didn't send the one generated by the register.

I didn't want to confuse them and be accused of sending in for two of the same rebate. Worst case scenario I could see myself having to contact them to explain and having to get the store manager involved before they would try to say it was too late to send in ANY materials. I'm not a pessimist but things like that have happened. I'm sure either way is probably OK. I just felt that it was better to err on the side of believing in their stupidity and propensity to deny a claim.

On a side note does anyone know if there are any other Mp3 players besides the SanDisk Mp3 Companion that accept these removeable flash drives?

I found an MP3 player that takes removeable XD flash cards but I hear it is about as buggy as this SanDisk Companion. Any other models that take removeable memory out there?

I have not received my rebates yet, they are not due till Early May. But I have received notification from the processing centers.

FYI, I sent in the pdf of the $20 rebate and the original register printed rebate for the $10 rebate and both have now responded that all is in process (step 2 of 4 on their site). I sent in a copy of the UPC with the $20 rebate and the original UPC for the $10 rebate.

Will update when checks come in. In the meantime, the flash drive works great! Thanks again OP.

Sandisk rebates take 8-10 weeks, they state on the form 8 weeks after receipt. The Ratshack rebates also state 10-12 weeks from after they receive the forms. You have a ways to go. Don't count on them until middle of May(Sandisk) and the middle of June(Ratshack).

I just called for the Radio Shack. They told me that I was in the system and that they would be mailing out the checks in four weeks.

If you want to call it is offer # 7029 and the number is 1-888-326-6188 for the Radio Shack rebate.

I did everything Borg20001 did except I sent the original UPC with the $20 rebate (I didn't want to mess this rebate up since it was the larger rebate) and the copied UPC with the $10 rebate. We shall see.

I jumped on this early and sent in the Datavision rebate, and according to Sandisk's site (www.web-rebates.com/sandisk) the $10 now reads "Data Vision/Radio Shack" and is being processed.

Well my 10 dollar one got rejected for out of date (?) maybe I sent the wrong one.My 20 dollar one is still being process.The bad thing is that my flash drive is DEAD!! Contacting sandisk for warranty replacement.Just hope thet send me the newer one like I have instead of the slow old one.

I got confirmation on both the $20 rebate and the $10 rebate. Good to go. I think as long as you guys sent them in early you will all get your rebates. I'll keep you guys informed of any further news.

This site will only give you information on the $20 rebate, but i got an email for the $10 rebate. Good luck you all.
