I think this was as low as $155 on Amazon.com shortly before they started to collect sales tax for CA state in mid-September.Now THAT'S a Hot Deal.
If I had $160 free, I'd bite. Think that they would have this drive on sale after the 3rd?
Little nervous about SandForce, since my (back then, highly-rated, in fact, used to be the fastest SSD on the market) Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe 240GB SSD died after a month or so, during an NTFS full format. Still haven't gotten it RMAed, since a friend bought it for me, and Mushkin requires the original purchaser to RMA it. That was back then, JUST when SSDs were dropping to $1/GB.
It had the newest firmware at the time, 5.0.1, but they've since come out with 5.0.3 or 5.0.4. Anyone know how SanDisk is with firmware updates?
I was looking at this Sandisk but went with this same priced Mushkin that included adapter and has higher rated speeds and ECC.

That's a much slower async model. I guess that's what you get for trusting specs.

The one above is the equivalent of the Sandisk extreme.
