You might want to call SBC and ask them about the status. A lot of people on the dslreports forums were saying orders were entered incorrectly and never got through to the people who do the actual change in speed at the phone place. I'm going to do that myself tomorrow if nothing happens by then.Originally posted by: kindest
today is the 6th day for me and still no upgrade. (bay area)
i hope that they arent trying to figure out how to cap the lines at 3mbit is why
its taking so long. doesnt seem most peoples lines have been upgraded in the time frame they said.

Welp, apparently they did get my order all done properly. I got up today and my upload has been upgraded. (see first post for link to my speed test). I ordered last week on wednesday, so today is my 7th day. Hopefully they will get my download taken care of in the next couple days. I'll probably skip calling them for a couple days since my upload upgrade went in.Originally posted by: kindest

Your download speed : 3137383 bps, or 3137 kbps.
A 382.9 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 239721 bps, or 239 kbps.
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!
actually goes up to 400kb but im not complaining on my free upgrade

Not quite as fast, but costs more. I wish SBC were available here. :|

Even if you do that, you wouldn't be able to share the load between them easily or cheaply AFAIK. Like if you downloaded something you'd have to choose which one it came from. Sure you could download 2 files at once each at 6 mbit speeds, but if you are trying to speed up just that one file 2 lines aren't going to help much unless you have extra equipment.
I could be wrong about this, I've never done it. But this is what I think is correct anyway. If anyone knows better please post and let us know.
No need to take screenshots of speed tests. Just do direct link to the test results screen, copy the entire link. It saves your tests in thier database for this very reason. Plus then it uses up dslreports bandwidth instead of yours See one of the last links on my first post for my current speed test as an example.
