Finally got around to installing my drive. It was CC1H firmware and turned out to be DOA. Continuous clicking at bootup, computer would not boot with it installed. Called Dell and jumped through a few hoops to get a replacement shipped.
Me - "The drive is defective."
CS - "You should talk to tecnical support."
Me - "If you insist and that's what it takes to get a replacement."
TS - "Let me connect you with senior technical support."
And after explaining to senior technical support that I had a defective drive I now have a replacement on the way. I almost waited too late to install since they only give you 21 days from the order date. My first ever DOA hard drive.
