Once I see the specs I'll make a final decision. The better screen resolution has me 40% there, but Siri, a better processor, and a better camera(s) don't hold much value for me based on my iPad 2 usage (mostly epubs, comic books, and guitar tab viewing). I went with the 64GB+3G last time, I'll probably scale back to just WiFi (but I do like the true GPS of the cellular model). I'd love it if it could somehow power some of my music gear through the USB bus using the CCK instead of having to lug around a USB hub & wall wart.

So, if it can do something really spectacular then I'll consider it, but just a better screen and I'll hold off for the next rev in 2013+.

I am 97% certain I'll get the refreshed Apple TV though if its a box. (Then jailbreak and load XBMC like my first gen)

No option for Touchpad forever?

Since my brother uses my Touchpad tablet much more than I do, I vote:
"Not a tablet person, give me a laptop/desktop/phone"

I'm content with my CM7 Nook Color. For anything more demanding, I have my desktop PC.

I intend to buy it, but I'll wait until we see what it really has before making a decision.

I have an iPad 2, and I'm perfectly happy with the screen on it. The speed seems fine as well. Now, those lousy front and rear cameras on the other hand...

I'll consider upgrading from my first generation iPad, but it really depends on the specs. The higher resolution would certainly be nice, but I'd like it even more if they bumped up the RAM and added more flash memory. I don't really need a more powerful processor, but a more efficient one that gives me additional battery life would be great. Price is certainly a factor, but I already know someone who would buy my old iPad for $250, so that makes the decision a lot easier. Honestly though, what I have now is fine for my needs, so I have a feeling that any purchase will be more about tech lust than about actually satisfying needs.

Kinda lame, I just got my refurb ipad 2 for $420 a few weeks ago! Oh well, it was for the kid (my excuse to the lady).

No... the tablet thing just isn't for me. I need a full keyboard and Windows. Call me lazy and old fashioned - f*ck, I'm old...

I'll just say, as I said before the launch of the 4S, it does not actually matter what Apple launches tomorrow. Specs, pricing, name, features, none of it matters. It will sell millions, pre-orders will sell out, and people will line up to buy it regardless.

Whatever amount I'd ever be delusional enough to buy the most tricked out iPad 3, I'll just buy that much more Apple stock with.

In another decade, I'll probably have enough to buy a hundred iPad 12's.

The iPad3 actually being a great tablet is out of the question! *gasp!*

The good news is we know it's going to be one of the best (if not the very best) offering out there so at least it will sell out for the right reason.

I just think it's amazing how most people couldn't care less about a tablet 2-3 years ago but now they're all the rage.

I'll probably pre-order a couple and sell one for a nice little profit. Maybe both if they are selling for enough. 16GB wifi should be the ticket!

Whats the best way to get one if you dont want to stand in line? I assume hit refresh a million times and pre order the nano second the sell page goes live?

Not at all. its just not a factor in most iFanatic's decision process.

There will be undoubtedly be some people trying to flip them on eBay/CL at vastly inflated prices. But otherwise, unless you're really lucky, you could be waiting a bit.

I voted PlayBook forever! (Own two, wrote two apps for it.)

I'm considering a MacBook Air for my next tech purchase. Tablets aren't really all that useful when you get right down to it.

Well, I skipped the iPad1 and 2 because I didn't think they were up to snuff. Now the iPad3 stands a good chance in getting my money. Other Apple products I'm not a fan of are the appletv, magicmouse, and their airports/routers.

AppleTV is actually my favorite Apple product and I'm way more excited about the refresh tomorrow than I am of iPad3. Tablets are all pretty much the same and pretty limited.

If the rumor of the tactile display works out, ill be a lot more interested in a new iPad.

But I'm also really looking forward to a new Apple TV to hopefully replace a Boxee Box.

I wont buy one for myself but I would buy one to resell and make profit.

as apple share holder, please please buy one or more i need the stock to go up more..

It just sucks that some flash site isn't converted to html5. Its useful for looking stuff up while in bed, but a laptop will always do more. Its more of a gadget.. I sold the original gen 1 ipad before 2 came out and only lost 50 bucks. It does hold value well but not being able to view all the sites like you would with a laptop kinda sucks. I was lucky enough to score a touchpad running cm9, its not as fast but for a cheap gadget its good enough.
