It seems like Newegg is charging the Retail price for an OEM CPU.
Monarch sells the cpu for $99 and $132 for the Retail CPU.

Picked mine up from NewEgg on Thursday for $100 (OEM). This weekend it went up to over $125... WTF?? I also snagged a Refurb MSI-K8T NEO-FIS2R for $45

This MSI board is great and has top performance at stock speed, but it doesn't overclock at all, since it's based on the first generation K8T800 chipset, which doesn't have pci/agp lock. If you wanna overclock, get nForce3 or K8T800 pro chipset board, like chaintech VNF-250 for $75.

OCing wasn't my concern.... I want to use this as a web server and leverage "quiet-n-cool" technology.

For my personal rig, I would definately go for a newer board, but my 2400 Mobile is just fine for now

Monarch now shows $119/shipped for the OEM, $132+shipping for the Boxed. Newegg now shows $108/shipped for the OEM, $124/shipped for the Boxed, so the deal at Monarch is dead.

That's a great price. RAID increases the resale value and attractiveness, so why not get it if it's on special?

i just dont want to make an impulse buy, since this is only a one day sale. Still debating whether its time to upgrade or not =)

I am still consider this board or the Chaintech. Both are around the same price and I don't need RAID either. I think I'll stick to the EPOX since my board I'm replacing, is an EPOX as well. Although I'm not 100% certain is now supports the Sempron 3100, last I checked on their website it didn't have it "offically" listed.

Yeah, it's a very nice box..... if you want to have a computer which looks like a file cabinet. It also doesn't look very transportable at all, but that's a problem with many of these SFF machines which are just trying to capitalize on this fad.
