Just to update for the rebates. I just got off the phone with Lexmark (it has been about 7 weeks). They said it isn't showing up because they had a ton of sales from amazon.com and they haven't begun processing them yet. She said give it another two weeks and call back if it doesn't show up in the online database.

the most important thing is not to send it by certified mail, but to keep a copy of all the paperwork in case one has to resubmit. I've yet to encounter a rebate house that refuses resubmission. If they are going to scam you, they will still deny the rebate with some bogus reason (missing invoice, signiture, etc), certified mail or not.

Just got off the phone with Lexmark Rebate and was told that my submission had been received and that it is being processed, and should be done in two weeks (I think a lot of people who called were told this)--we'll see.
