That's some good news! Did the guy who lives near you do an instore pickup? Where the other positive confirmations instore pickups?

I'd guess the markup would be $30 max, there's just too much competition in the market for it to be very much. Look at some of tankguys posts, I don't remember the markup but he makes less than $5 on a 146 at the end of the day.

And as far as +publicity goes, the only people who would know if Microcenter honored this deal would be an assortment of hot dealers, all of which will have moved on to the next deal.
Speaking personally, I would whore my mama out if I thought it would get me a 25% discount on a pair of Opteron 285's:evil:, and while getting this card for $150 would be sweet, it's not like I would suddenly start making all my pc purchases from them if I did, which ain't gonna happen anyway.

The only people going to make out on this deal are the ones lucky enough to have picked it up instore.

According to the specs at New Egg the card comes with 16 Pixel Pipelines and if your a Half-Life 2 player check out these HL2 Benchmarks and you should feel alot better about this card, that is if your lucky enough to get one!!! The AIW X1800XL has 16 pipes so how could the AIW X1900 not have 16 pipes? That just wouldn't make any sense!!! The lower core clock and memory speeds relative to the X1900 XT was a concern for me but with a much better cooling solution I wouldn't be surprised if the AIW X1900 reached XT core clock and memory speeds...

I was just checking my bank account right now and noticed an unreported difference in my balance and my online balance in the amount of roughly $160... which is the price of this card shipped to me.

I opted to NOT do instore pickup as people were already reporting being denied when I ordered, and got an email that it is backordered.

Could it be? Anyone else see anything on their statements/in their email?

They've had the amount on hold from my card since last week also. I don't know what that means, but it gives me a little hope.

It means our accounts have been tapped by MC to verify that the card info we gave them is legit and that there are sufficient funds for the transaction and only IF MC cancels the order will that hold be released...

Well so far so good in that they haven't canceled my order!!!

Just read something over at FW that makes me think what the delay may be. MC is probably trying to negotiate some vendor assistance for the error. Usually a mfg will offer some sort of discount or incentive to a store to markdown an item and sell out so they can bring new product in. MC may be trying to get an advance on this.

Its good vendor relations for Ati and MC will still lose money, but maybe not so much.

Then again, nothing like this could be happening at all.

We're going to have to call them to get them to honor this most likely. What's the best way to approach this. Just asking if they have it in stock and when they're going to ship it is just asking for them to delay this 30 days.

#1 rule... NEVER CALL. If people bother them, they're likely to just say "Screw these people" and cancel each and every order that hasn't been already.

"If your order has not been shipped within 15 days from the date of your order, a reminder email will be sent to you." (from the back order email)

I can wait at least that long to see if I get a reminder email. If I get that, I'm not losing hope.

The hold is until the order is canceled by yourself or by MC. If you needs the funds then cancel the order! :roll:

I agree with Injury's response for the most part. You can file a complaint if you must IF your order has been canceled; until then just be patient and unbunch your panties.

I do not believe this is true. I think most banks will temporarily hold that money. Mine will probably disappear after tonight.

My bank is still withholding funds and has been doing so for the past 5 days. My personal experience is that my bank withholds funds until the order is canceled.

Well it's Monday and still no cancelation!!! IF they were going to cancel the order I would have expected them to do so by now which gives me reason to be optimistic! :thumbsup:

I think they will keep it back order till 30 days past so they can cancel it. I got the backorder email, but I am not so optimistic about it. But of course I am not going to bother them, I just let it play out it course. If I get it, then it is great, if not, I doesn't really matter to me.
