Yeah if you guys really think your gonna "fight" and get the card for cheap your freakin nuts. Anyone remember the geforce price error at best buy years ago?
We got a $20 off coupon and that was it. Companies will not give in, they all have terms that say price errors or mistakes do not have to be honored usually somewhere on the site. ANd if they dont in this day and age of ebay profiteers then they are stupid.
If that be the case smut then why didn't they just send us cancelation emails stating what you argue? Why did they instead tell us they were out of stock and couldn't fill all the orders in 30 days time which we all know is a bunch of BS? If they had just sent us emails saying that they goofed and that there policy, which can be viewed on there website state that they are not obligated to honor the price then we would just have to throw in the towel. I'm keeping an eye on MC's website to see if and when they start selling the AIW X1900 again and if they do before the 30 days is up then we have evidence of fraud, lies and deceit! Does anyone know if MC owns any other stores which might be selling the AIW X1900 right now?

What "trouble" is that? You went out of your way in an attempt to take advantage of the company.
I agree with an above poster about giving it a rest. I'm tired of you guys complaining to these companies that a price mistake must be honored. It's a mistake that I personally think that anyone that knowningly takes advantage of it is in some way actually stealing. As the son who's father owns his own business, I witness people doing everything in their power to get out of paying full price for anything which can be stressfull and hurtfull on a very personal level. And while this is a major company which won't be to harmed by these actions, it is still annoying to hear of people trying to take advantage of them.

If it annoys you then you and the rest of you trollers F-off and troll in your city's sewer system where you can find all kinds of crap to get your panties in a bunch about!!!
OK those of you who had your orders canceled. Here's what I've found out so far concerning MC:
"About Micro Center:
Micro Center is the retail company in the Micro Electronics family that also includes WinBook Corporation, Redemtech, and PowerSpec. Headquartered in Hilliard, Ohio, in suburban Columbus, Micro Electronics was founded in 1979 at the emergence of the personal computer industry.
Founded on the principle of providing "technical retailing" at its best, Micro Center offers a huge, but easy-to-shop selection of competitively priced, high-quality products, and a wealth of information to help customers make thoughtful buying decisions. This successful retail formula and customer-centered approach is at the heart of the "brick and mortar" store designs and the new "virtual store" -- Micro Center Online."
I checked MC's BBB record what I read is that MC is very concerned about keeping a good record with the BBB so customer complaints are responded to positively!

Okay, after this, I called back and told them to expect some bad feedback from the BBB and the guy said there was nothing he could do. It was a price mistake that they're not obligated to follow through on. I told them that I saw it on Anandtech and that other people had said maybe we should get coupons and stuff, and he just said that in the future they might have someone monitor sites like that. I don't really understand what he meant, but it looks like no coupons.

Congratulations.
You've gotta learn to just let it go dude. But no, you'll take it so far that they WILL monitor forums more, and shut down things faster that maybe a few people would have a stab at. But no, if You can't have it, neither can anybody else, come hell and high water.

Relax dude, all he was trying to do was to call and see if the company would be generous enough to offer anything to us. The fact that you're taking what probably some low-education customer service operator threatened so seriously totally undermines whatever authority you have to take a "stab" at scootermaster.
However it's important to remember that Microcenter is no Dell and that most likely they do not have the means to offer as much to their customers as a bigger company would have.
I'm pretty upset myself that they canceled the order. However taking to heart threats from a dumb phone operator and subsequently complaining about a fellow Anandtech member who tried to do what he could do for himself and the rest of us is not cool.

While I'm not going to go out there and outright complain and insist I get the card. I do think giving us a future discount or coupon is a good gesture for THEIR mistake. Remember, nobody hacked their system. And I work for the top 5 companies in the world so I do see people trying to get a $500 item for $50 because there is a ding or whatnot. Nevertheless, some type of gesture would have been nice.

However, holding their BBB rating against them, as blackmail, is disgusting. Obviously mommy and daddy need to take away the toys from the spoiled brats.

You guys totally didn't get what I was saying...when I called the first time (well, the second time...I tried to leave a message late Wednesday) I told the guy and he said he'd check the website and check on my order. I told him that a lot of people were ordering multiples and maybe they should cancel those. So that's nothing. But when I called again, after the cancelation notices, I didn't say that *I* was going to contact the BBB, I just said that people on Anandtech and some other sites were mad.
I would never do that. I like MC and have a good relationship with them. Better, after this whole ordeal actually.
So don't go thinking I was trying to screw MC. I was just asking them what was going on each step of the way, and letting them know that some OTHER people (who have no grounds, in my estimation) where mad at them.
Okay?
