Anyone have any tips on overclocking:

mobile 2400 plus
kingston value 2700
windows me
I can't get pass 141mhz

Anyone getting their mobile chips defaulting at 1.55 volts? My 2500+ is doing this, and would like to lower it back to 1.45 but I cna't find anywhere to do this. I think I am stuck...anyone else notice that there or NO CPU VOLTAGE adjustments? Its a Home theater pc, and running at 50C under prime, but it isn't in the torture cabinent yet either....

Also, this is is my first AMD rig...how hot is too hot for Mobiles at 1.55 volts?

You can check your rebate status _HERE_. My guess is that you will not find it. But I could be wrong...

Is it common practice for Soyo to NOT list the rebates? It's been like a month and a half and still they say NO submissions found. M$ on the other hand, has already sent my rebate check for the M$ Flight Sim 2k2.

Did not go for this myself, but I'm wanting to know how the Soyo rebate situation is going. Could those who went for this deal please post (or PM me) and let me know? I've contacted Soyo about many unhappy folks who say they have had poor/very poor experience w/ Soyo rebates. Soyo wants want to discuss it further. It has been 13 weeks since this deal was posted, so you should be getting or have received those rebates by now, true?

I have not recieved mine yet, It shipped on Tue, 13 Apr 2004, and I mailed the rebaites in right after recieveing it, I have checked the rebate status linked above with my name still not showing up, looks grim, Im not one to chase down a rebate but I do keep track of who cheats me, If I do not recieve it I will not buy annother soyo product again.

I mailed mine on March 29. No check and it has not shown up on the verifyrebate site. As far at the Soyo "discussion" why don't they just list the rebate as received/approved? As long as I know they have my stuff, I would be willing to wait for my check.

Soyo rebate form (and website) metions that the rebate may not even show up until 16 weeks from the "PROMOTION POSTMARK DATE" which is May 22nd (IIRC). That would place this in mid September before you see anything based on 16 weeks from May 22nd. Still waiting. Have copies. Will fight!

this motherboard always crashed for me when using an ATI Radeon 9800pro, I stopped using it and bought a shuttle Nforce 2 Ultra 400, works like a charm

and no cant get any info of my rebate

My rebate finally shows up at the website! It has the correct date that I mailed it, but nothing else. It even says that if you contact them for more information on your rebate it will slow down the process. WTH does that mean? A glimmer of hope for sure, but we'll see if they send it.

info: my postmark date 3/29/04, rebate postmark date ended on 5/22/04. They say it'll take 16 weeks from end date, so who knows. At least something is up, how bout the rest of you? (it's $50, worth fighting for to me)

I just keyed in the info even though I never did the rebate, and it gave me the same info.
I changed the names and zip and it said it was processed on 3/29
Sounds like something is wrong....
Since I got on the deal before the rebate...
Seems like it's just a general message with no real results.

Grumble... I just made up a name and zip and got the same results. (unless Captain Caveman also has a rebate coming from my town) That's suspect. There goes my false hope. Thanks for the heads up Bookmage.

It looks like I too got the same results. I also put in someone else's name(Santa Clause) and besides getting his rebate, he lives in my zip code area:Q.

The verifyrebate.com looks like a scam site - typos when you try to go down the "Click to register your rebate online" path... are we sure that site is even a Soyo run website? was that websites address mentioned on any of the rebate forms (I didn't get in on this deal - but was thinking about getting in on another Soyo deal).

It's on the mwave/soyo rebate form, so I assume it's from Soyo. So how legit is Soyo and their MIR policy? That's the big question.

I hope I get this rebate-16 weeks is an insanely long waiting period. The motherboard was a pos that never worked right. I figured it made more sense to wait for the rebate rather than pay to ship it back. I won't be buying Soyo again.

I got mine for $0 after MIR, but it looks like i GOT WHAT i PAID FOR!

Mine ran fine for the whole of 2 weeks. (have an early thread on it) I RMA'd it, and took the then working return to ebay. I even let the guy who bought it know its history, so it's no longer my problem.

btw, I won't be buying from Soyo unless they shape up.

LOL, it means that they have one intern handling the thousands of SOYO rebates sent in over the past several months. If you interrupt her while she is opening the envelopes it puts her behind. Why do you think it takes 16+ weeks to process our rebates. They probably put up that generic message on their rebate status site to keep you from bothering her.
