there is no sluggishness in the controls if you dont use the games vsync. for some reason the the games vsync will cut your framerate to half of your refresh rate. if you have an nvidia card you can just turn off the in game vsync and force it on from the nvidia control panel.Originally posted by: Sutareteiru
I love the game, its scary and has tons of gore. Alot of people complain about the controls but I think the sluggishness of the control helps the scare factor, so u cant turn around within .000001 seconds. I would say try it out.

I was considering getting it, but can't really tell if it's played in the '3rd person view' or 'first person view'......... *shrugs*

Great I think I may give it a shot, but that depends on the DRM it has...
Anyone know whether it has install limits or phone home?

Absolutely amazing game. While the 3rd person is a bit of a let down at first, the fact that they managed to completely eliminate the need for any type of HUD is a truly beautiful thing to see. In fact, just to experience the HUD is worth a play through. The limb based combat was also in RE4, but it was nice to see it again and done so damn well. The RPG elements of Dead Space were enjoyable also, however, I would have liked to see more weapon upgrades since it seems like you have to scrape by and save for upgrades when the weapons are so damn fun to use. Yea, I realize it's a replayability thing, but replayability is a gimmick to me.
