Thanks OP had to wait half an hour on the phone and got in on this deal just a few hours ago. Can't believe this deal has lasted for 2 days. When I saw this yesterday I thought it would be dead before I ordered but when I came back and saw you could order by phone, I jumped on this deal.

It's almost a sure thing on the phone. Will receive mine on Tuesday.

edit: now to fill up this drive with the new 6Mbps dsl line...

Sometimes the AT threads are much better. They shorter meaning its easy to find the info you need (provided that it is there). No need to sift through 40+ pages. The only thing that is annoying is that we can't post coupon codes.

There may not be as many responses but who knows how many views the thread has had.

People on this board don't seem to clog a thread with the nonsense that's posted there. You don't have hundreds of people saying the same thing or asking the same questions over and over. If someone sees a deal they like here, they jump on it and move on. I don't think that's a bad thing.

Its still good. I just called, dunno whats up with everyone on that "other" forums site saying 1 hour+ hold times. I was on like 2 minutes and I'm at this very moment ordering it. She knew immediatly what I wanted when I said "I want to order a hard drive." She read me off the item number and the price. She said something about a system being down but she would manually enter in the stuff and have someone call me to confirm on monday. But everything went like clockwork. She never actually said what hdd it was, but the item number she read matched the 160 gig one. Thanks AT!

I think phone orders will not be process till Monday since Staples don't process those during weekend. When My friend called this afternoon, the CSR told him that the order will be process by the corporate on Monday, she made it sound like the deal might not go through....Personally, I don't have my hope up too high, but if they come, great. Tomorrow is Sunday, let's all go church and pray for it to come.

Yeah but the CSR told me that it would be $60. If it aint I'll cancel its that simple.

I don't think this is something they can easily reject. I can understand on something like a pricing error but not when they are letting this go on the phone and the CSRs know all about it. My conversation went as follows:

CSR - " it even appears that there is a $30 MIR on this drive"
fireman - "so I can use the MIR and get this drive for $30 AR"
CSR - "that's what I am being told is that the rebate will still be valid even with the price discout"
fireman - "wow that's a great deal"
CSR - "it sure looks like it"

I'm 98% sure this one will ship and w/rebate

Whether Staples will ship all these hd's, less than 1%. Reason being, earlier in the week they accepted alot of orders for the Sharp copier. Alot of people had their orders cancelled.

Staples has 3 options that I know of, processing, shipped or cancelled.

And as not many people want to sift through 40+ pages, with 90% being worthless, the same questions get asked there in a never-ending cycle. Then again, I'll see questions asked that were answered a few posts up, so some of it is due to sheer laziness as well. The equivalent AT thread has most of the information with a time delay, and much less of the junk.

Deal still valid over the phone. CSR (very nice) must not have worked the yesterday since she didn't know about it. But she checked with her sup and came back saying I could order the 160 GB for the regular price and Staples will credit my card down to about $60 shipped.
