Has anyone who ordered this online from staples.com had their order delivered yet?

Also, has anyone's order status changed from processing to something else?

Mine still says processing, scheduled to be delivered 12/30 by UPS, but no tracking info.

Call them up or go on their website and chat with a CSR (during business hours). I've always been able to get UPS tracking numbers or some time of delivery information that way.

I just called them up and the CSR said that it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow but there is no tracking info now even though it's being delivered by UPS. I just find that strange that they don't have tracking info for a delivery the next day by UPS.


That's why I want to know if anyone here has their tracking info or does theirs still say processing.

Everything that I have ordered from Staples does not come with a tracking #. The only way to find your tracking # was for me to call. Most times, it just shows up in the morning on my doorstep or on the side of my house.

That's because UPS updates the tracking information at night, and the tracking information probably won't even be accurate until the morning. You can call in the morning to get the tracking number (I've done it before) or you can just wait for UPS.

The status of my order has been changed from processing to shipped and is schedule for delivery today but noUPS tracking number. In the FW forum some people say their orders was cancelled may be due to the use of coupon but my order was placed on 12/28 10am with coupon.

Hey, that's a good thing to know! Actually the staples site says shipped. And this UPS track by reference number shows billing info received as of 7:15 am PST. It doesn't show when it's scheduled for delivery on the UPS site yet.

For those of you that have purchased from a Staples B&M, how did you use the coupon code? Did you just tell them the code, or did you have a printable coupon? I tried to get in on the deal online, but when I click on the link to the drive it shows up, but with a price of $0. I try to add it to my cart and nothing happens. I'd like to purchase online with the coupon code and pick up at my local store. Thats usually how I handle those deals.

Axmonkey, What state are you located in?

I'm in NY and the pkg was delivered at 12:51pm. Will try to install this tonight and upgrade to TDK 1.03 firmware first and test to see whether I need to upgrade for Plextor 1.04.

Damn I keep talking myself out of getting this drive. I'd like to have a DVD burner here at home, but something in the back of head keeps stopping me from getting one. Must be that little financial gaurdian angel that sends me that stabbing pain in my gut every time I head out the door to go to Staples. I think he wants me to find one for about $60 before he quits stabbing me :frown: Impulse buying has brought this little gaurdian angel (or should I say devil) into my life. I almost tried to get in on the LiteOn at CC for $69, but I was alittle concerned about the quality of the 411. Lots of bad reviews kept me from pulling the trigger on that one.

I find it strange that TDK doesn't have a 1.04 on their site if it's just a matter of these small changes to use the plextor 1.04 update.

go read the thread at FW

you just need to change the information in the plextor's ini file to the information that is in the TDK 1.03 ini file. Then change the two references of 1.03 to 1.04. Then flash with the Plextor's firmware program. Use information at your own risk. Like I said...goto FW for the entire instructions.
