GRRRRRR. Link worked for like a second now its timing out. Anyone heard of this brand, or know who manufactures it?? I got like a billion gigs of anime that need to find a new home away from my hard drives.

Anyone know if these TEON discs are good and what speed they are?

This seems too good to be true.... like the $2.12 5-pack of TDK DVD-R on black friday @ MC

The label picture appears to show both the DVD-R and DVD+R as being 4x. I don't know anything about the quality of TEON discs though.....never heard of them before.

I was just at my Staples and the ones they had sitting out looking very ready to be snatched up tomorrow were both 4x.

Thanks for the confirmation...I'll be swinging by my local B&M tomorrow for these.

Well, got 2 20-packs (which are 4x, either +/-)... and the AT&T phone, which has an answering machine AND caller id plus (which is caller id for call waiting)....

There is a $10 off $40 floating around on the web on some 'freak' site if anyone is interested...

Had I known that before I bought them, could have gotten the dvd's for free after rebate to sweeten the deal.

I just bought two packs of the TEON -R's. DVD Identifier shows them to be CMC Magnetics with a code of CMC Mag. AFI. I will try burning one now on a Lite-On 811s and post the results.

If you could, run a KProbe PO\PI test at 4X speed and post the averages from the test. CMC Mag's are not noted to be that good.

I burned two discs in Clone DVD with no problem at 4x. They took 30 minutes each at 4x and I don't know why it took so long. Both discs played fine on my home units too. I will run the Kprobe test and post the results.

Anyone have the DVDInfo Pro info off of the -R ones.... the post earlier for the +R shows these are actually 8x... would be sweet if the -R were 8x as well

If you get these and submit for the rebate online, be careful as there are separate forms for the +R and the -R items.

I bought 3 packs and the discs are the same:

Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD+R:CMC MAG-F01-000]

Disc Type : [DVD+R]
Manufacturer ID : [CMC MAG]
Media Type ID : [F01]
Product Revision : [Not Specified]
Disc Application Code : [General Purpose]
Recording Speeds : [2.4x - 4x]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,295,104 Sectors = 4,482.6 MB = 4.38 GB]

Frankly, as long as they burn fine and play in my home players, then the quality is fine for me.

After I do a burn later tonight, I'll post the results. I have a TDK Indeo (rebadeged plextor 708A) for the test burn.

Both of the Staples by me only had stacks and stacks of the -rs, no +rs to be seen...I was hoping for some 8x Phillips, but oh well. Picked up a pack of the -rs, testing will commence shortly.
