Check out using MSN Wallet to earn 20% MSN Dollars

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

DEAL SUMMARY:
$126 (Items) - $25 (coupon) - $136 (MIRs) = $35 PROFIT !!! (less sales tax on $101)
Add on 20% MSN Bonus on $101 + SALES TAX = $20.20+ MSN $s !!!

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Note 1: This deal is only valid today because:
[*]The Pacific Digital $30 OMAX Rebate expires TODAY
[*]Some of the $16 FAR items rebates & sale prices expire TODAY

Note 2: Make sure the $16 FAR items show up at the prices listed above. If they don't, DO NOT CALL UP OMAX FOR A PRICE ADJUSTMENT! Based on OMAX's new policy of not allowing COUPONS w/ FAR ITEMS, they'll likely remove the $25 cpn from your order! Instead either find $16 worth of other FAR items, or pick $16 worth of stuff you can actually use!

Note 3: The reason I've advised to add items by ITEM # (instead of using the links in my various threads) is to ensure that the OMAX coupon remains intact. Often times when you activate an OMAX.COM cpn and then click a hyper-linked OMAX item from a msg thread, the cpn disappears from your session. Activating the coupon and then ordering everything by item # will prevent this from happening.
Enjoy!

Update (6/17/2003):
The copy of Kiplinger's WILLPower I recieved contains a RED STICKER on the outside of the box saying:
"$10 Mail-In Rebate Expires August 31, 2003. Details inside box."

Inside the box there is indeed a $10 rebate form; however, it requires both an ORIGINAL REBATE FORM and an ORIGINAL UPC CODE. That said, you can try sending in the $10 rebate using a UPC COPY (coat the UPC COPY w/ CLEAR TAPE to make it look more "official.")

Both the $10 rebate form in the box and the $60 rebate form from OMAX get sent to the same rebate processing company in El Paso, TX. Furthermore, the TERMS & CONDITIONS of both rebates list a statement similar to this: "Rebate is not valid in combination with any other offers."

Thus, applying for the $10 rebate (using the same name & address as the $60 rebate) may negate the $60 rebate offer (or at least $30 out of the $60 rebate offer). If you plan on submitting the $10 rebate, I highly recommend sending in the $60 rebate offer FIRST! Perhaps 6-8 weeks later (or better yet, ON AUGUST 31st), send in the $10 rebate! This way the $60 rebate can be processed and at worst the $10 rebate will be rejected.

The last thing you want is for the $10 rebate to be approved and the $30 (out of $60) rebate to be rejected (as a result of sending in the $10 rebate).

Note 1: If you send the $10 rebate to a different address, you're probably won't jeapordaize the $60 rebate. (To be safe, when photocopying your OMAX.COM receipt, cover up your address).

Note 2: For those who did not receive a WILLPower box containing the $10 rebate form, I've taken the liberty of scanning it: Kiplinger's WILLPower $10 Rebate

BTW, it's a small card (actually THICK PAPER) printed on two sides. The dimensions are: 15.8cm x 7cm (it was easier to meausre in cm than inches). The scan I've provided contains both sides (one on top of the other).

Our family actually needs a will software, so thx on the FAR note.
I run by Amazon to read up on Willpower, and Lo! nobody can get it to work on 2k or OSX.

50 of 52 people give it 1 star. They say it crashes even in Win98 if you add a post 2000 date in. Anyone have comments? Does compatibility mode make it work?

On second thought, even in compatibility mode for 2k/xp, the prog probably still won't run. 98%+ of people agreed with the post at Amazon that it wouldn't run on 2k and it crashes in 98 if one enters a post 2k date. Compatibility mode isn't going to make it run better than on Win98 natively.

Here is Home Attorney on Amazon. Looks like it works but it isn't too stable. The person who gave it 4 stars only had 1 user of 35 agree.

I guess the $60 worth of legal software should only be seen as placeholder for the deal if anyone wants to get $125 of merchandise...oh well, time to shell out $ for a working will prog.

Thx TheDiggler for finding this good way to make $ and for posting though

I took a look at the Pac Dig rebate that expires today (6/14) and it does not seem to list Pac Dig as one of the rebate items (lists MicroAdvantage and Mad Dog CDRW's). If I'm missing it, what item number is it on the form?

Thanks.

I linked the TWO PacDig rebates in the OP. The $30 PacDig OMAX REBATE is a substitution rebate for the MadDog 52x CD-RW OMAX advertised for the 6/8 - 6/14 sales period. You can either use the ECash1.PDF rebate form w/ the MadDog rebate offer for the PacDig drive or use the ON-LINE PacDig rebate linked at EasierRebates.com. Personally, I'd rather use an ON-LINE rebate form any day of the week.

Oh man.. Very nice and detailed as usual, but I can't stomach this deal. Far too much involved. I'd almost rather set up a lemonade stand this weekend.

They did a substitution once. Ran outta FAR Cendyne DVD rom drives and they gave me a Pacific Digital. Rebate #1 said I was missing serial even though I wasn't so I sent the serial on a postcard and the rebate went thru.

Rebate 2 said I needed to send the UPC and the serial. I ended up losing that $20 because I had already sent the original UPC.

My personal observation is to be wary of substitutions like these.
Anyone else got subs to work?

I haven't had problems like that. Of course I keep scanned copies of all my rebate submissions. If they try and make such a claim, I e-mail them the scanned copies. So far I've used my scans to resubmit rebates rebates which were never "recieved," and to re-submit rebates in which they claimed I sent the WRONG UPC.

In reference to Pacific Digital, I have an outstanding PacDig rebate from Feb of this year. I need to follow-up on that one. When I initially sent it in, it came back via the USPS as ADDRESS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. OMAX instructed me to re-mail it (to the same address). It didn't come back again; however, it's been "outstanding" for a while now. I'll probably need to re-submit this rebate, but thankfully I have a scanned copy of it!

Cool! With all the other FAR crap I've gotten from OfficeMax in the past few months, I should start thinking of who should get all of the checks, if something should ever happen to me... Not that I don't trust parago, but I've been waiting for those checks for weeks now! Chances are, I WILL be dead by the time they come!

Diggler: Splendid dealsmanship!

I tinkered to get a Jump Drive and the free speakers for a coworker who just wants an alert when she gets. (Company doesn?t buy speakers or sound cards, but you can call in sick with ?My cat coughing up fur balls.?)

Got everything from above and the 6/8 flyer you linked. And I already did the OM Mad Dog CDRW deal.

Kiplinger + CDRW + Lexar 64MB + FAR speakers + Belkin Jewel cases

$156 - $30 (off $150 coup) - $25 Ms$ - $115 rebates = $14 Big Money

Oh, yeah. And 125 points on my Amazon card.

Froinlaven: Donate that FAR crap to Goodwill and write off the Fair Market Value. Free Karma!

OM rebates suck big time, after much hassle I only managed to get the low $ ($4, $9) amounts.
None of the real money (chair, CDRW, RAM etc) were ever payed.
First they said they didn't receive the UPC, then it was "not received in the right timeframe" (allthough some of those items were on the exact same page and receipt!!!) and now "the promotion has expired".

Go to canydavid's OMAX FAQ thread (listed in both of my threads linked at the top of the OP). On page 2 canydavid's thread I've listed new OMAX contact info for REBATE RESOLUTION along w/ the Entire OMAX Executive Team. You should be able to get your rebate issues resolved using that info.

There's a possible additional $10 rebate available to those who got in on this deal! See the update in the OP.

I just tried calling Pacific Digital. In the automated message for the rebate center, they state that their address has recently changed, and that if your rebate submission was returned to you, you should re-send it to the new address. The new address matches the one on the Pacific Digital rebate that you linked above.

The reason why I was calling them is because thier rebate requires the "original receipt". I want to confirm that a copy of the delivery receipt for online orders is acceptable. Has anyone else tried calling to confirm this?

Update: I got a call back from Jackie at Pacific Digital. She said to include the order confirmation, and that it needs to show the date of purchase and the purchase price.
