Everyone else have lots of issues with their first NES? Tried blowing in the carts, and the cleaners didn't work worth a darn either

Blowing on them always worked for me. Atleast what we did was top the cartridge with our shirt, and blow. Worked good enough to keep us playing

I dunno, man--emulation is cool, (save states in particular) but there's nothing like playing on the original hardware. My top-load NES and my SNES are still going strong.

No offense to anyone but some people need to stop acting like they are moderators when they aren't. When someone is flaming or breaking a forum rule it's one thing, but when it is at best a grey area... stop trying to seem self important for a second and quietly hit the pm button under a moderators profile. If it is wrong, they will fix it. That said, this is a pretty good deal if you ask me. I dont like using emulators, and since you can sell NES systems to Gamestop for $35, a machine that plays NES games for less then that seems a good deal to me.

Yep, they have been modified... the sprites/textures were enhanced.
