I have had nothing but the best experience working with OM B&M clerks and mgmt on these deals. I had received my first deal (40x12x48 burner with 100-pack of CDRs, FAR), but then *missed* the 7-day deadline for the $30 on the CDRs! Darn it! So, today I took my pink receipt from the OM online purchase and went to the store. I told the clerk and the mgr that I needed to photocopy the pink receipt for both rebates (burner and CDRs), and that pink wouldn't copy well. I asked if there was some way they could help me out, like another copy of the receipt. *Or*, I suggested, perhaps I could "return" and then repurchase the CDRs for a fresh receipt. That's what they did for me, no problem. I had brought a 100-pack up with me, off the shelf, and they gave me a credit for my original CDR purchase, then rung it back up and we put the 100-pack back on the shelf. I left with a new receipt for the CDRs.
The key is how I relate to these guys. I'm not there only for the money. I'm there to enjoy the experience and see what happens. I didn't know if they would help out, but I hoped they would and enjoyed the opening moments, talking to the clerk, anticipating that it would work out alright. I have to say that if anyone here has a bad experience with clerks and managers, half the time it's that person's reflection, bounced off these people. Anyway, don't stop believing, guys. Just ask for help.
