BTW.. I called AMEX's BVG and the CSR did confirm that online price matching is going away May 1st. I guess my Optima BVG is going away as well at the end of the month, so I need to make the most of it. Now.. Does anyone have any hot digital camera buys?

I just called the amex BVG line and asked if they raised the price later, would I still get my discount. They said it doesn't matter as long as I have a printout.

So I just print out the page from technoweb with the box that says your price/you save etc. and fax it too AMEX. when they ask me to?
I've down store PM but I never used BVG. Now that everyone says it ends 5/1/03 for online I might as well use it.
Yes.. Print the page off now from techonweb showing the current price. Then order at Dell.com. Call AMEX BVG at 1-800-557-8217 and file a claim for your purchase. They will assign you a case number and give you either a mailing address or a fax number to submit a copy of the printed off web page for the deal along with your purchase receipt from Dell.com. Everything that you submit to AMEX BVG must have the case number written on it. The fax is so much quicker, but I've found that it's almost impossible to get a fax to go through. I've tried at 3 in the morning and still had problems. Then.. Just wait about a week to 10 days and you should receive your BVG check from AMEX. You can also check the status of your submission by calling the BVG number. It usually takes a day or so to process your faxed (longer if mailed obviously) submissions. So I just print out the page from technoweb with the box that says your price/you save etc. and fax it too AMEX. when they ask me to?

that's what you think right ?
just cause he thought it was a pricing error, he deleted it. All you can come up with is he is trying to keep the deal to himself
Grow up man

That's it. I've done 3 BVG's and don't know why I haven't done more quite frankly. I kept hearing rumours about the Optima card dropping the BVG, but apparently, it's still good for me until the end of the month. I originally had the Blue card and AMEX dropped BVG on that card right away. Maybe because deals sites were pushing the blue card along with BVG.

Well I will just try my luck then. 18" LCD monitor for $240 is too hot. If I don't like it, I will just sell it on ebay. thanks again!

If I ordered 2 thru dell would BVG give the $250 difference on each LCD or $250 max per claim?

Question about BVG.. I forgot how long we have to wait to submit a BVG claim. I'd like to do it tomorrow, but should I wait until I get my monitors from Dell first?

Techonweb deals are crap (pricing errors) and should be banned on Anandtech.
How many times before have they done this, offer a Ludicrous low price, then cancel hundreds of orders. Nothing but a waste of time.
