I tried to price match them but first they said they wouldnt do it cause they had to have them in stock... and I told them I was just there and they did. He then proceeded to tell me that these drives were refurbished and that they wouldnt do it. So I called MC and verfified they were not refurbished drives. He then said, as I showed him my print out of the MC web page, that I needed an actuall printed add for him to do it... low and behold I had one in my back pocket. I whipped it out for him and he looked puzzled for a bit and took my add to show to his managers... when he returned he resorted to simply saying that he would not honor the price "because it was too low and they didnt understand how MC could be selling them that cheap". I asked him if that wasnt a clear violation of their price match policy and a case of false advertising. He shrugged and said that he saw my point so and I asked to speak to the managers but was told that they were busy. Needless to say the store and the names of their managers got reported to their corperate office.... if Im not satisfied with their response Im going to file a complaint with the Dept of consumer affairs. well... I bought thew drives anyways cause they were the ONLY 2 left in my area. I tried price matching it another store but was toold the MC was too far away (20mins) and that I would have to go to a closer BB even though there is a BBB 5 mins away from the MC but still it was far for me. So I got to the next BB closer to the MC and they were happy to ring me up... funny thing is that the MC add has 259 with a big red X throught it and says next to it "save $110. I guess BB cant even hire decent help cause he PMed it at $110...
so, 2 drives @ $96 each and $240 in MIBs = priceless.... literally... funny? arent I?
so I guess it was worth all the driving around for 3 hrs and dealin with law-braking BB managers in the end.

So my question is.. First off the charged me over night shipping and it is going taking take office max 9 days to ship it. Second I didn't get the 115% difference. Third what about the tax on the 89 dollars? Will I get that back too? Fourth are they gonna try and take away my $20 off $75 coupon?
ARG!

I went to BB Sunday to get in on this deal and was rejected. I have a MC loacally but my MC is out of stock on the 120gig drive so BB would not price match the drive :-( I asked the lady to show me where it said the other store had to have the product in stock and she did. She even gave me the little paper and highlited it, how nice of her. So who knows when my MC will get this drive back in stock. Who knows, maybe I can still get in on this deal one day.

I hope I'm not mistaken, but I think the capacity label is the yellow "120 GB WD HD" on the bottom of the front side of the package. And I think the barcode is on the underside of the package, attacked to the capacity label.
There's should be a 1-800 number on the rebate form to contact the rebate center if you have questions about the rebate.Anybody know what pieces of the box go where? I see two barcodes on the box:
1) One that says 'WDC Serial Number' with a barcode.
2) One that looks like it's an extension of the capacity label, and says "Model:WD1200BBRTL", "Proof of Purchase", and has a yellow shaded box to the right detailing the drive's specs (8.9ms seek time, 2mb buffer size, ata100)
So which is "original upc from the box" (for the $20 bb rebate), and which is the "capacity label cut from the front of the box" (for the $100 wd rebate)?
The rebate receipt that prints out at the register is just to save the customer the trouble of having to make a copy of the receipt to send in with the rebate form. You can make a copy of your receipt and send that in with your rebate form and your're good to go.Rebate form I have from OM as well as the online submission at rebateshq.com don't state the requirement for a special little receipt. Think I can get the rebate, any tips?
Go back and buy the hard drive before they are sold out, then keep calling MC to see if they have restocked the HD. The sale ends Sat. but BB's low guaranteed is good for 30 or 15 days after purchase (I don't know when the BB rebates have to be postmarked). So as long as MC does rise the price of the drive, you will still be able to do the PM. If it dosen't work out return the drive for a refund with in the return period.I went to BB Sunday to get in on this deal and was rejected. Here's BB policy, where does is say that?Best Buy's pricematch policy says they won't match a price if their price is lower after mail in rebates
