Aaa..no thats just happens when they are out of that perticular item and send the item to you later. its not that they do that on purpose..

office max has been great to me. come to think of it so has staples. i dont have anything bad to say about anyone... the rebates come in if u send them in correctly.

Btw i am in for this deal again. i bought 2 of those $10 120gb from CC. but what the hay..i'll get one of these too and prob sell it. nice way of making money in these hard times.

now to find a real engineering job..

Anybody have experience using the buy/return/rebuy strategy at officemax? I'm thinking buy without coupon, and then on sunday, return/rebuy with coupon and get rebates. Any thoughts?

I missed the CC deal two weeks ago, and don't want to miss this one.

I haven't got $$ for any of my OfficeMax's rebate from like a month ago, not even a notification that they got it, I even called them and they got no records.... They keep having these super low prices after rebates weeks after weeks, makes you wonder if they are closing the business.

If you did not get the instant rebate, you probably ordered before the website was updated. Get off your kiester and call officemax for your price adjustment!

Controller cards aren't that expensive. Newegg has some that are $20ish and free shipping. Highpoint ones.

BTW, this is a hot deal. I bought 2 of the 120 gigs from Best Buy when they did that 1 day $80 price thing. Should I get yet ANOTHER or not.... lol

Just the readjustment may not work, because rebates are peropd specific. I haven't checked the WD rebates for this deal. If these rebates are valid even now, then you should be good

I got this drive in the last deal and ended getting the surprise 8 MB version in the 2 MB box. No problems except the rebate hasn't showed up and WD is slow at getting the rebates paid out. Officemax rebates have been better lately at getting processed faster. The WD rebate was from the WD, not officemax.

I might get a second and think about a little raid.
