FYI - the scheduled ship date for the OEM drive is 11/25. The rebate has to be postmarked within 30 days of the date of purchase.

I purchased a retail drive, and it gives an estimated ship date of 10/16. Hope that doesn't get pushed back...

Kinda makes up for the ZONES Maxtor scan. Thank you dell. I ordered 2 . Going to raid all 4 drives in my system.

anyhow, i dunno if i should get in on this or not. i just got the 80gb version of this drive yesterday, what would i do with all that storage? that and my plastic is reaching new limits, and with plastic, the sky is the limit :Q

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I ordered this not too long ago, and I was worried that it isn't showing up in my order history, nor have i gotten any emails. By the way - when I go to small business and log in, it takes me to home and home office...could that be a problem? I definitely ordered the drive from SB because I was charged tax...any ideas? I was assuming I should be able to see my order history immediately after I order this thing. TIA

Can anyone pull up the rebate form?? Doesn't seem to work from dells site. Is there a per house/name limit? I already had a $100 WD 120 SE rebate this year, am I still eligible? THAT rebate specificlly stated only 1 per household. Does this one say anything?

Hrm, so if the rebate is in the package and it has to be post marked 30 days from purchase date. AND, the scheduled ship date is 11/25. Wouldn't that mean that there is no way you can do it in time? Cause say you order today (10/11) it doesnt ship (with the rebate "in the package") until 11/25. So how could you possibly have it in hand in time to beat the deadline? Correct me if I am wrong. Maybe i am reading in to this too much and just bitter about buying the 80gig 2 days ago

I hope this ship date is correct. I noticed in the previous post, the estimated ship date is Nov. 25th. Is that because I ordered the retail, and tracerbullet ordered the bare drive?

Now when will they post that rebate form?

BTW, although all who ordered the non-retail will probably be fine, I went the "safe" route and ordered the retail package for a few bucks more.
