(DEAD) Western Digital 200GB 8MB cache, $129.99 +tax AR @ Fry's? (3/28/03 ONLY)

Today's Fry's ad has got the 200GB Western Digital for $149.99 ($269.99-$120 MIR)
I went to outpost.com and downloaded the rebate there and saw an extra $20 rebate attached to the $120 rebate form valid for Fry's and outpost.com purchases.

$120 MIR ENDS today, extra $20 STARTS today.

So, $269.99-$120 MIR-$20 MIR = $129.99 + applicable taxes.

Am I reading this wrong? Anyone???

EDIT: Apparently, Outpost has replaced the original rebate coupon. This afternoon it was $120 + extra $20. Now it's $100 + extra $20. DEAL DEAD. But if you did purchase the drive today, I can send you the coupon if you want to give it a try. PM me.

The Fry's ad says nothing about this being today only. The ad says $269 sale price with $120 rebate. Ad also states prices valid intil Tues. April 1st. However, the outpost rebate for $120 says it ends today.

Can anyone who buys this instore check the valid rebate dates and post please ASAP!

I've purchased this drive. Only the $120 MIR printed out at the register. The info on this $120 rebate form is the same as the $120 rebate form found on outpost.com, that is to say, it states that the $120 offer is valid from 2/28/03 thru 3/28/03.

The original didn't. The PDF file I saved from earlier today is dated Feb 28th thru March 28th for both the $20 rebate as well as the $120 rebate.

But I do see a $100 MIR + $20 MIR. There's 2 seperate rebates. Are you saying
you get a one $120 rebate when you buy at Fry's?

Also, what's the warranty on this drive? Is it 3 years because it's a Special Edition
or is it 1 year?

Also on the rebate form, I saw 250 GB WD2500JBRTL, is that really out?
That's a really nice 83.3 GB/platter vs the 66.6 GB/platter on the 200 GB model.

If you buy the drive today, you'll save an extra $20.

right now is 8 PM PST. You got an hour left before the store closes. city of industry california store has 4 or 5 left as of 7:30 pm PST. 200 gb drive for 129.... I picked one up! Eventually this 200gb drive will be filled to capacity. I remember back in them days in 1991 when i bought 1 gig harddrive for $999 and i said WOW i got a great price! THen I was thinking how in the world I'm going to fill in this HUUUGE 1 gig harddrive????.... *snicker*
