also worked for me...i did it over the phone and picked up at the store =)
but i didn't get any rebate coupon from them tho.....all i got is a big pickup ticket ><
the manager was saying the rebate center would not honor the rebate ><

Just ordered it online with the FAR cd-rs, it's currently on backorder for 7 days. Anybody think this will cause rebate problems??? Good deal for $41.15 after rebates (I hate tax!!! would have been $34.99!!)

Looks like hard drive rebate will be ok (postmarked in 30 days) cd-r's might be a problem (7&14 day postmark). Will they go by the order date or shipped date?? Now I see that that must be purchased by 3/8!! Maybe it's time to cancel, anybody ever had this experience??

Ordered mine with the CD-Rs. Used my $20 MSN bucks I needed to use. If both rebates come through,
I'll get both items for around $15.

My order shows as ready for delivery to Texas on 3/4. No backorder. Have to check my delivery confirmation.
I have had these FAR things backfire when the order was delayed, and then they get kicked out at the rebate center.

I did it over the phone and used a 30 off 150 coupon they mailed me, was told to give the coupon to the drive at time of deliver, and that it's scheduled for delivery on 3/4/2003 so no BO thankfully. Need this deal for a friend who doesn't have a lot of cash right now..

I was able to order by clicking on the $25 off $100 coupon link at FW, then going to the shopping cart and entering the Item Numbers using their 'Speed Shopping' option (on the right hand side).

20076917 for the WD 60 GB HD

20182491 for the 48x12x48 burner

The discount showed up on the screen before confirming the order.

I just ordered mine, but I'm curious - since it was backordered, is there any way I can goto a local store and pickup the drive and cdr's, then cancel my order? Sometimes the backorder info is incorrect and local stores actually do have them in stock.

If I can't do the above, is it easy to cancel the order, since I may not get teh UPC before the rebate is due? Never cancelled through officemax before...

Well, obviously I made a mistake when copying and pasting from my officemax order status page, one of those deals where I should have CTRL+C instead of CTRL+V, but FYI, 20076917 does go to the correct item number for the HD. The burner is in fact, as someone else later provided, 20182491.

I was FINALLY able to get the $25 off coupon to work. It's a new user only deal, so you'll need to create a new account.

I was afraid that it was cross-referencing my old billing/credit card information and that was why it wasn't allowing the new user discount, but it did eventually work. So if you're having trouble, I think a lot of it is OM.com's screwy website. Keep trying; you should get it eventually (but you will need to use a different email address to set up a new account).

Thanks for the deal, MysticMan. When this didn't show up on the website I thought it was dead, but they eventually got it posted and it works! 60GB and a 50-pack of CD-R's for around $40 shipped - not bad at all!

My coupon worked the 1st time, and I am not a new customer.

Maybe it had something to do with the MSN wallet. It gets all
my customer data from MSN, so it may not be able to "see" me
as a return customer. The email address and the credit card number,
however, had been used at OM before.
