EDIT---

NOW A LITTLE HOTTER!!

Coupon was changed like Bullhonkie said... Apparently I had a cookie or something that limited it to $15. A co-worker just did it and the coupon came up as $18 off!!

***************

I know some don't like XFX or AGP - but oh well... for some this may be a deal.

http://enews.buy.com/cgi-bin5/DM/y/ecou0HDdDa0GGC0BnM50GK (replaced since they say I can forward it "to my friends"!!!

Click on the %10 off Anything on sale banner at the top... (max $15) = drops it to $161.99

Select Budget shipping on checkout = Free shipping

Mail off for the 2 rebates ($45 back eventually)

= $116.99 not too bad I think...

Apprears to be $175 + $4 shipping at newegg

Might be able to get 2% fatcash back... but there's that "use of coupons MAY void rebate" note over there...

...

Edit 3 or is it 4??

Looked back over the email and noticed this...
Redeem Multiple Times!
Everything's on Sale Coupon*
Don't forget to forward this offer to your friends.
Some Restrictions apply. See site for details. Expires 6/26/05.
http://enews.buy.com/cgi-bin5/DM/y/ecou0HDdDa0GGC0BnMt0GN
since they are giving permission (y'all are my friends right??), there's the link,
and I'm restoreing the link to the product from the email (ie with banner at top for 10% or $15 off).

If you can pull this off, that would be the lowest price I have seen yet for a 6600GT card.

The only downside in my mind (other than the fact that some people don't like XFX) is that it is AGP & if one planning to build a PC with the current MBs, PCI-E would be preferable!

There is also the possible $30 additional savings from applying & getting approved for a Buy.com visa...

hot damn that's cheap...I don't see why it wo'nt work, unless both MIRs require the original UPC, but I haven't read the fine print so I dunno.

One, manufacturer rebate, wants the "serial number label". The other, buy.com rebate, wants the UPC.

Coupon says maximum of $30 value for me. Ends up making it $161.99 AC and then $116.99 AC+AR. I don't need one but that's really hot for a 6600GT AGP - if you can deal with the rebates.

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the buy.com checkout?

EDIT- oh nvm, you can't stack coupons

I just saw this on buy.com, outstanding price. I need a dual dvi badly too, but overall am tired of rebates, and not interested in one going to canada either. My loss I guess.

Everything works for me. The coupons stack. So if I was to use the coupons (10$ and 10%), will the rebates still work? LMK.

While it says $30 in one place, in another (and more importantly at checkout) it maxes out at $15...

Edit - was wrong... well apparently I had a cookie set or something, and I was only allowed $15 even after they changed the coupon! Now $18 off... Hey $3 is $3.

Uhh, I just got mine for 117$ AR... Poop, too bad you can only use 1 coupon.

Now comes the question. Is this card worth the 117$ or should I just get a 6800 for like 50$ more?

I'd just stick with the 6600GT for that price.

Just as a note, i've purchased 2 xfx cards from buy.com since last november with mir's going to canada. although it took a while to get them back, (2 months for the first, 3 months for the second) i did eventually get them without any fussing about.

2 to 3 months sucks but at least it did show up... Worst rebate I had was the Vonage one... it took 6+ months.

BTW, my card is shipped... It looks like it'll be here today! Nephews will be happy - I've been stuck with a borrowed 64MB 9000AIW b/c my ti4200 broke... Now they'll actually be able to play something worthwhile again.

Does the 6800 have the "broken" pure video that doesn't accelerate HD WMV?

Bump for a little hotter deal... The coupon code is now maxed to $30 like Bullhonkie said. I must have had a cookie set or something that was causing it to revert to $15 for me. A co-worker just ordered one and the coupon was $18 off not $15!

I'm jumping into this deal. I just built my computer for less than alot of people's video cards. Total came out to be ~370$...

There may be an issue with one of the rebates...The $15 Buy.com rebate calls for the "original UPC code from the product package". The UPC is on a sticker on the product itself that the package has a window that allows it to show through. I started to try to peal it off, and it won't come off for me without ripping up. I'm contacting buy.com to see what they say about it.

that sucks. keep us posted, i just ordered one yesterday. since buy.com highlighted the rebates on their product page I wouldn't be too worried.

a lot of people rip buy.com but I have had great luck with them. i botched a rebate submission on cd player for my daughter, they rejected it, but i called them and they allowed me to re-submit. and i got the check soon after.

Question:

Wait, so can someone confirm the 'serial number' on the XFX rebates and the 'UPC' on the Buy.com rebate are different things?

And whats the update on the UPC situation? I'm very interested about this card for a friend.
