I know someone who did that. He built all his own comps and they were kicking @$$. He also got a bulk discount on his hardwarea so call up the resellers and try to work something out. As for games. CS and Warcraft are easy. For BF1942 I think you need at need 512 mb ddr and at least a GF4 Ti. You shouldn't worry too much about Aniso and AA as I don't think thats what cafes are about. Just make sure they are smooth and the kids have a good time.

I have a Soyo KT-333 Dragon ultra and a Xp 2200 for sale. e-mail me alphonsus_n@hotmail.com. Go to newegg.com or googlegear.com. Those two sites basically are the same price. I probably spent $1500 at newegg.com the last 6 months. They are great. I get my stuff quick. And since you live in so. cal you prob recieve it in about 1-2 days. I never had one single problem with newegg.com. Their CSR are great and they fix everything!

for CS you could probably get away with some P2 systems, lol.

As far as teh other games, i'd say some systems about xp1700 (or higher), 512 ddr, and a GF4 ti4200. should run everything fine/smooth.

CS would be no problem, 1ghz with a GF3 or so can play that game just fine. WC3 is a bit more intensive, while your main problem is BF1942.

IMO, for high performance in BF1942, heres my "minimum" requirements for smooth gameplay.

CPU - 2GHZ P4, or AXP 2000+
Memory - 512DDR
Videocard - GF4 Ti/Radeon9500

Sure, things could be a little faster if you got a faster processor, but my brother plays BF1942 on his 900mhz P3, not as smooth as my Athlon @ 2.3, but it plays. I'd say the memory and the videocard are the most important factor in all this once you get a CPU around 2ghz.

Keep in mind, this is going to be very expensive.

Lets say, you have 20 computers, each cost $1000 (which is reasonable), that'll be $20,000 in computer parts alone. Not including OS, Games, Desks/Tables, Chairs, Space for rent, connections, power bills, advertisements, internet connection, prizes for winners, etc etc.

If you can get past the initial burdens of the cost, and manage to keep a good userbase or regulars, it could be a pretty profitable.

Good luck.

I run BG 1942 on a nice minimalist system. It has 384MB PC133, Athlon XP 1600, and a Radeon 7500, all on an IWill KK-266 motherboard. You need a P4 / Athlon class processor for sure, but you don't need high end for game play. You do need to keep in mind, though, that games are changing, and you don't want to be stuck with all of your equipment after a year, and have to buy new stuff.

I've been playing BF1942 on a BX based system...Tualeron@1333, GF3 ti200 (@2x agp!), 512mb crucial pc133 and the game plays wonderfully. Settings were set to medium/med hi. My 3DMark2001 score was ~7000.

Everything runs smoothly and everything looks great. I just bought a GF4ti4680, and now I've been turning most of the settings to max. This is online with 30-40 people playing.

As a note, I built I simular sys for my bro in law recently. Slightly faster tualeron, 512 as well, but a Rad 7500 being the big diff. Game ran smoothly only at lowest res settings. Buildings had no shadows either.

I also tested it on my GF's comp, an 845G, Celly 1.7, onboard 64mg DDR. Game play was horrible! 2-4 fps!!

Lesson in all this is, vid card will be the biggest factor in allowing you to play BF1942 once your processor is above a certain speed. Beyond that its just gravy. Going from 30-40 fps to ~100 or so will look nicer, but won't really help you kick some azz. BTW, all 3 sys play WC3 very smoothly.

xp 2000+ minimum for cpu
geforce 4200 level is minimum for gpu
1gb ddr is cheap and great for games like 1942.
good fanbus to keep noise down.

You should read the responces that people give, and perhaps respond to them. All I see you doing is bumping your thread and asking for help.

You should also list how many computers you are looking for and what price range.

The mark up on computer parts is rather low so I doubt you will get much of a discount, I use newegg.

Dell was just selling p4 2.66ghz with 9700tx's for under $500 AR, they are good computers with warrenty's and tech support. You will be hard pressed to find such a deal on parts alone and you can buy upto 5 per permotion period.

Excaliberpc offers combo discounts and bulk discounts. Get your parts there or from newegg. For your needs this is how I would configure each rig:

Antec Beige Tower w/300W smartpower: $44
Epox 8RDA+ (Includes soundstorm 5.1/LAN/Firewire)- $95
Athlon XP2100 Retail (Includes HSF)-$83
RAM-TwinMos PC2700 512MB $46 (Check hotdeals for link to this special)
Maxtor 40GB 7200RPM- $66
Radeon 9500 PRO OEM 128MB $172 (Get this from mwave.com, Limit 5)
Lite-On 52X CD-ROM-$20

Total = $526

Add Windows XP PRO for $140 per computer, each computer will NEED to have its own legal copy of Windows. BTW if you plan to install Desert Combat, get 2 sticks of 512mb instead one, with one stick of 512mb, BF1942 road to rome runs fine, but with DC .03 it likes more ram, with 1GB my system is smooth as silk. War3/CS will run fine with 512mb.

Goodluck!
