Not the cheapest, but you get double the warranty when buying from Costco, and a decent return policy.

I was going to post the CNET review, but then I recalled a website that showed that ~85% of all CNET reviews fall between 7 and 9...anyone know that link?

Just an FYI this is the 2007 model. The TV is considered a very very good set. Some of them suffer from a Green push to the blacks but that can be calibrated out since there is access to a ton of advanced calibration features in the service panel.

The 2008 replacement is the 52XV540 for reference (or 52XF550 if you want slim bezel)

I purchased this set sight unseen after reading up on it on the web.
It will replace my Vizio 42 Plasma that started having power supply issues, returned to costco for credit.

Waiting on my tracking number still...

ianbergman both are last years models. I know the 550 uses a samsung panel pretty sure the 540 does as well.. AVS has a bunch of people talking about the toshiba, and the new models are HIGH priced on the samy

I think If I was going last year I would go with the samsung at same price.
I was blown away when I first saw the samy in store. it was 2 times better color than anything around it.
of course that was store setup on all of them

Do you think that the prices will drop around Christmas time this year? I'm thinking about getting a 52", but can't bear to pay that much right now. Maybe a 52" for $1500...am I dreaming?
