i dont know..but YMMV..but i got this router for free(microcenter deal) and its not what i expected...the daam thing is always a PITA...either resets..or does all kind's of wierd stuff even with the latest firware upgrade...

if u router is such a PIA i would rather just go without one.

I heard that it likes to overheat. So as long as you give it enough space and don't stack stuff over it, it should do fine.

The SMC2404WBR may be faster but if you need 4 wired ports stay with the 7004VWBR.

I know most will not need that many wired ports with wireless access but I personally like the added protection the wired ports give my 4 desktops.
